I don't think a guilty verdict or execution of Saddam will affect the vote one way or another.
Eecuting Saddam might quell some of the violence in Iraq, but his execution will be a relief to neighboring nations.
Since they're predicting violence after the verdict is read, I don't think it will be much for the GOP -- though the sentencing date was switched from a few weeks ago to just before the election. Hmm.
