Trent Lott Wins Back Leadership Slot

Why does this seem bad to me?
Not about the controversy he had a few years back, but don't you think that the Republicans should be looking for some new blood.
The Republicans NEED to get back to conservatism...Lott might be conservative, but it seemed that leadership in the last few years were not willing to fight FOR conservatism...or much of everything

Didnt the Dems just show that pulling into the center is whats successful? Allowing a far-righty like Lott into a leadership position may be a bad idea in 2 years when even more Senate seats are up.

No, but thanks for asking.

I agree with the plea for new blood. We need someone hungry and passionate about conservative principles. Someone who can loudly and proudly articulate the virtues of conservative philosophy.

According to all the Cons on here, the current guys do represent Con principles. So much, in fact, that they got brutally slaughtered in the recent elections.

Oh really, nobody mentioned the fact that many felt the Repubs had turned their back on conservatism?

Do you think sleepwalking through life is a good quality?

Wake up!

I think McConnell is a good choice, but I don't like to see Lott back-- the power sharing, the apologies and so forth were a disaster. Politics is a blood sport, but some who have been in Washington too long think it is their business to go along to get along.
