Big crowd rallies for The Mic

I have just one question:
If this stations is so successful, and if so many people want to have it on the air, why is it the lowest rated station in Madison?
There are 14 stations that report advertising in Madison, and the liberal talk radio station ranks 14.
In one of the most liberal counties in the United States, it is in last place...

That is why it is going to go away.

Then you get a comment so stupid, so laughable, only a liberal could have come up with it:

But critics charge the conservative Texas-based owners of Clear Channel pulled the plug right after the November elections because they were alarmed by the electoral victories of Democrats.

Clear Channel wants to make money, period. That is it, that is all. When you are the worst rated station in town, you need to go. Ron and Jim like to say that conservatives want us to be scared and worried that terrorist will blow us up, when to them this is not a problem at all.
Well, I KNOW Ron agrees with this completely ridiculous stance that Clear Channel is a political entity that really cares who is on the air...
Well, they do...they want people and programs on the air that people LISTEN TO...

Good bye "progressive" talk radio...

Just a note. Glenn Beck is consistantly the lowest rated program in his time slot. I hope you don't cry crocodile tears if they stiff him. Fewer people choose to watch him than anything else on cable news. Does that mean nobody cares? That he is talentless? That he is a wacky kook? If they leave him on despite his horrible ratings does that mean they are making a poor business decision?
I gave up on Air America when they dumped Mike Malloy. Fortunately he has turned up again on another station that is streamed. After learning more about it it would seem that the people that ran the business end of Air America were "stereotypical" liberals. IE poor business people. I don't think liberalism has failed in the least. Poor business people can wreck anything. Radio being what it is, it looks easy and many think they can do it. It isn't that easy.

Beck is not the lowest, but he is low...here is the one thing you don't talk about:
Who does watch the show, and is the show friendly to buisness...
Middle and upper class white people wiht money watch the show...
And conservative talk radio and TV are pro-buisness (usually)
So even if a liberal was able to get the same ratings...they still would make less money, because a buisness doesn't want to sponsor a show that talks about "evil buisness"...Big this, and BIG that...that is something I bet you have never thought about...

oh, and I have no idea how anyone could talk for 3 hours...really 110 min...every day...
I have theories on how conservatives can do it successfully and more liberals can't...but that is for a later time

I find it so laughable that Liberals demand choice and let the people decide are the same people who demand programs that people don't watch or listen to be kept on the air keeping off programs people do want.

I've caught Glenn Beck's show a couple of times, but I don't normally watch it. His low ratings could have something to do with being on CNN, a network not noted for a conservative viewpoint. Also his lead in is the nightly news and his follow up is Nancy Grace, both a big yawnfest.

Re: the Mic - it's a business decision. If it was a moneymaker, no way would it be yanked.

beck is on MSNBC..and even better reason for low ratings...it is the second highest rated show on that crap channell

Game, your business supporting deal is right on the money....pardon the pun. I ran into that myself. I had great ratings and even would be sponsors would say they listened but they wouldn't spend their money. You must be passionate and read a WHOLE LOT if you are going to talk for three hours. Beck is on Headline news not msnbc.
