What do you think about this...
I am at school right now, but if anybody has links good or bad about Bolton's job performance I would like to see them.
From what I have read, he was doing a good job being a part of an organization that is completely ineffective and irrelevant.
Being tough and maybe yelling at a lazy worker once and awhile is not a reason to be blocked...in my opinion...
And being a conservative is not a reason either

That's hogwash. You think anybody who disagrees one iota with anything Israel does is an anti-semite.
You are the same people who justify the invasion of Iraq based on the 14 UN Resolutions Hussein broke but entirely forget the number of UN resolutions that Israel broke. Israel can do no wrong.
The difference though is that the resolutions against Israel were largely on the order of preventing them from protecting themselves against Palestinian terrorists and other assorted Jew-haters. Those against Hussein were to restrict his constant messing with his neighbors and other blatantly heinous activities. I know that there are those that like to view Israel as being morally equivalent to their enemies, and many are ambassadors in the UN, but objective people don't buy into that crap. Since the UN has so many members who fall in line with that thinking, it's difficult for countries like ours to out vote them when these resolutions come up. Bolton let them know that their actions weren't being put over on everybody. He should have had been easily confirmed.

The left, with its historic commitment to liberal democracy, human rights, and freedom, should know better than to side with the totalitarian ambitions of revolutionary Islamists. During World War II you guys in the anti-war movement would have nitpicked the UK to death, and would have helped keep us out of the war as the progressive socialists in Germany tried to conquer their country. After all, this is precisely what the anti-war Americans did then.
Hating your friends, loving your enemies -- that's what the Democratics are about.
This is some of the most preposterous crap you've posted yet, Jason. I may disagree with Marshall (usually) but most of the time he has a decent argument to make.
Nobody on the left that I know of "sides" with revolutionary Islamists. If we disagree with SOME of Israels actions and policies, we "side" with revolutionary Islamists? Utter crap.
I know of nobody on the left of any consequence who is anti-war per se. And I wasn't around during World War II anyway.
Nobody I know of on the left hold Russia and China as perfect allies. These countries are often criticized by the left, but a country needs to work with countries with which they don't always agree.
Likewise, nobody I know of on the left "hates" Israel or considers them anything less than a solid ally in the middle east. Doesn't mean Israel is beyond criticism.
