Time Magazine's Person of the Year: You

... IT'S YOU! YOU were named TIME magazine 'Person of the Year' Saturday for the explosive growth and influence of user-generated Internet content such as 'blogs', video-file sharing site YouTube and social network MySpace... You -- YES, YOU -- beat out candidates including Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, China's President Hu Jintao, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi... YOU, YOU, YOU....

Interesting choice...
Not the correct choice by a long shot.
Its not like people only started blogging this year, this has been a trend for years, and next year, more people will use the internet for information than this year.

Time did this because they are whimps and don't want a bad guy on their cover...

So, who should be "Person of the Year"

My answer:
Either President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
or
simply "terrorists"
and not as good a choice but not bad...
the entire Bush administration

Game--

I agree with you. No one wants to admit the Revolutionary Islamists are making rapid and uncontested gains. And for the liberal elites, the less their flock knows about Ahmadinejad, they think the better. If they did an article about Ahmadinejad, it would either be a puff piece which Limbaugh & co. would tear to shreds, or they'd have to write about the apocalypse, the 12th Imam, wiping Israel off the map, "a world without America," Allah will protect us in a nuclear war, holocaust denial, David Duke and so forth.

Iran won their war with their proxies in the Party of God (Hezb'Allah) in Lebanon this year against the spineless self-hating infidels in Israel. This is the dress-rehearsal for the bigger fight, much like the Spanish Civil War where Mussolini and Hitler tested their new weapons systems and tactics.

Back then, Joe Kennedy Sr., as ambassador to the UK, rejected the "paranoid" warnings of Churchill about the fascists and vigorously supported Chamberlain's policy of appeasement. Today, we have Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bill Nelson and so forth pursuing the same policy.

What makes today's situation absurd is the fact that this is occurring *after* who the Revolutionary Islamists call the "Magnificent Nineteen" massacred 3,000 Americans on OUR OWN SOIL.

Why would terrorists be the person of the year?

ME

the person of the year is the person that has affected the world the most...terrorist are to blame for what is going on in Iraq.
Because of Iraq, the Dem's won in November, possibly changing many things...
Right now, terrorist and terrorism consume a vast majority of TV time and policy time

I think they should put Taz or Wile E. Coyote on there. Best cartoon characters that ever came into being.

It would have to be a really puff piece for Limbaugh to tear it to shreds. Lets hope that doesnt happen.

Actually there were some dems that changed the landscape of the world quite a bit this year but the liberal media would never put a dem on the cover..just bush twice and maybe, properly, an industrialist or two.

I love this.,makes it fun for me to be on the air as time magazines person of the year.
