Here is ANOTHER thing that Dem's said was stupid to bring up during the election because they would NEVER do it. Anyone with a brain knew that Dem's would not fund the ONLY actual device that could stop illegal immigration. And yes, it works....it works everywhere there is a wall. So Dem's used two of their strategies here:
1. Just say whatever it takes to get elected and then once you are elected become liberals again.
2. Simply say something enough times until people believe it. Liberals just say that a wall will not work when all evidence shows them wrong.
This story makes me so sick. FINALLY, our government was going to do something correct, and the Dem's go ahead and mess it up. They understand how important those illegal votes are for re-election...

The Democrats could not come up with a bigger waste of taxpayer money than this stupid wall. To keep the damn thing from leaking like a sieve will require hundreds if not a thousand or two personnel to secure and maintain it. Talk about government waste, this would take the cake.
Being conservative does not mean being stupid, but damn if the Republicans have shown any wisdom in the last few years. The GOP had better wise up real quick and relearn what being conservative really means. Otherwise, this country is going to see Hillary running the country with a Democratic controlled Congress.
Or worse, Obama.

EVERYWHERE there is a wall crossing all but stop completely...Yes, the people just move to another spot, but if the wall is long enough, eventually there are not very many places to cross
But right up 'n over because the walls aren't monitored. And that's what would happen -- the wingnuts and moonbats both would start feeling so secure with a wall that it wouldn't be monitored, and that's what would happen. Also, look at how many walls have actually come down throughout history.
Like the man said, quit wasting money on that shit, and make what we already got get up off their asses and work. Period. That's what being a real man is all about -- working. Things take real work, and border control/security is no exception. We already have people who could work for this, if we'd just quit paying them to do nothing and start kicking them in the ass to actually do it.

Do you think 2000 employed to protect our borders is a “waste”? Nobody actually believes a wall can be built and not monitored; you need to stop believing everything you hear. It’s just another straw man, BS argument put forth by those that don’t want to stop illegal immigration. As is your pathetic little “hiding behind the wall” statement. I’m not scared of or quaking from a thief just because I lock the doors to my home. Jeez, try being a little more skeptical and a little less gullible, one would thing you’d be tired of being used.

But that is what will start happening, don't you see? People (i.e. in gov't) at some point would start taking the wall for granted, and there would go the real guns.
This isn't off of anything I've heard, because I haven't heard anything on this. It's just that we all know how lazy-ass the gov't is, and if you want to bitch about gov't intervention all the time in things, then start looking at what you're already putting into gov't, quit wasting it, make it go to work for you, and become fiscally responsible.
Here in the U.S., people (lay people) have more freedoms than in most countries, and with it comes freedoms to hop walls, fences, and get away with it, just like they do everything else.
I might add that even though 1 whole wall still stands (the wall of china), a wall of a country with people that have a helluva LOT less freedom than we do, came down.
What, your husband gets paid to do nothing??? I don't think so. Why expect anything less of the government? Make those bribe accepting (and I've actually seen that in action, so don't deny it -- yes, I reported it to no avail) low-lives work for the US for once, like they're hired to do, with the guns they're given on our dime to do it with.
