Wisconsin Sports for 2007 and beyond

Packers: They are a TE, WR, and a defensive back from being a 10-6 or 11-5 team.....if Favre stays or they pick up a veteran QB. They get to play some really bad teams, so just like this year, it doesn't matter if they are actually good...they just have to be better than the other crappy teams they play.
On a side note, did anyone else notice that their are NO good teams in the NFC? Look at the teams that made the play-offs, not ONE is a good football team. Hope this trend of bad teams doesn't continue in the NFL...it makes the season much less interesting to watch crap play crap.

Brewers: If they do nothing else with the team in the off season, I don't see how they are going to be the play-off contender that all the super-homers said they would be this year. This is the year most people said they would be a play-off contender when asked "When do these young guys start being good" This year will not be the year for I think the 15th year in a row.

Bucks: Who cares, its the NBA. If you want to watch basketball turn on a college game.

UW-Basketball: Take first or second in the big ten, but I just feel that they are not ready for a national championship...maybe next year.

UW-Football: Very good chance at a National Championship. The one problem is they have to play Ohio State and Michigan this year.

High School basketball: Vincent will win state.

Dude, I agree. We should get every available vet QB in camp, letting them know only one is going to make it. Someone wants to backup/follow Favre. Brewers cant change the team overnight, BUT they have made improvements to the team every year, and the record has gotten better every 2 years. Thats nothing super, but its something.

record got worse last year

The problem is that any VETERAN QB available is available for a reason, they can't win or stay healthy. I'm not sold on Rodgers until he gets prime time on the field to show he either has it or he doesn't.

One other problem with the Packers is that they are prejudiced against any player who played at Wisconsin or came from a Wisconsin high school. I believe we had a chance at Lee Evans and passed. For a punter, that Stemke kid is still available, but having gone to GB Preble and the UW are 2 strikes against him. I laugh when some commentator says GB is looking for a outdoor, cold weather kicker. What the H*** did Stemke do in GB and MADison???

One other thing, Kurt Schottenheimer has got to go. Jim or Rhyno would even be an upgrade as a D-back coach.

Also, the Packers need a housecleaning on the facilities staff. Hot Rod Magazine brought to 2005 Power Tour to Lambeau and some damned fool not only blew that reservation, but scheduled some P***ant thing that took precidence and parking lot space over the Power Tour. There were over a thousand cars that came to that event. Make that a multiple of 2.5 times the number of cars and that's how many people who are bad mouthing Lambeau Field and Green Bay, then add in subscribers to Hot Rod...BAHHHH!

The Seligs RUINED the Brewers ever since Bud dismantled Harvey's Wallbangers. The Brewers need a better front office and won't have one until the Selig misers are all gone.

Wins next year over Michigan and Ohio State will cement a National Championship for the UW if thay can beat USC in the BCS bowl.

Mike Vick's backup in Atlanta, Matt Schaub, is a FA. I hope Thompson tries signing him as Favre's heir apparent.

Duh, did you read? Every other year it spikes up, and has since we got the new stadium. Lets hope it maintains. That means we are set to finish at 85-90 wins.

OMG I dont know where to start PCD. There arent any Seligs involved with the team. Its one reason they are improving. I wouldnt know much about the facilities, as I dont muddle up there in hicksville except for about a game a year. You are the only person I have heard mention it. Also, vet QB's are available for a lot more reasons than that. Sometimes its as simple as a new regime wanting a new team. Glance towards the Cards every few years. Their owner sucks and wants a housecleaning everytime a new coach comes in. Se also Tampa Bay, who got rid of Brad Johnson so that the new guy could get his playing time. Now, in regards to your anti-WI sentiment comment, thats complete BS, too. Not only did we draft our current starting RT from the Badgers, but we had no need of a 4th WR in 2004. We had Driver, Ferguson, and Walker...plus the TE's. It would have been a big waste of a 1st round pick. Of course, if you used your brain AT ALL, you'd realize that we didnt even HAVE a pick until 13 picks AFTER Evans was gone. Now, I suppose we should have just traded away our draft strength just so you could be satisfied in your WI nepotism. Retard....

Rhyno,

You are the angry retard. The Brewers suffer from an organization staffed with Selig philosophy idiots who are still there.

Evans was available, not on draft day you daft liberal, but as early as this spring. There are such a thing as trades and Free Agency, you nitwit.

Other than Tausch, who have the Packers passed on that is in the NFL, dumbass (to steal from Red Foreman on the 70's show.).

Also, what is so great about Milwaukee and Madison? What attracts people to them?

The Game said...

I'll bring up the WI player we really messed up on rhyno..
Chris Chambers...we took Terrell Buckley instead...you want to talk about retarded

I totally agree game. Buckley wasnt even the better corner over Troy Vincent. Whom, I think you were referring to, being the same position.

PCD, nobody is left over in management from when Selig owned the team. Also, dumbass, Lee Evans is still on his original contract from when he was drafted. He was NEVER available, you dipshit.

The Game said...

I might be mixing up the two...were they not all available in the same draft???

PCD said...

I suppose rhyno wants us to pick up Dante Culpepper when the Dolphins put him on the trading block or cut him.

Speaking of Harvey's Wallbangers, the State of Wisconsin is going after Rollie Fingers for back taxes, over a million dollars worth.

Good Luck, big spenders.
