Dem's strategy on the war on terror

Pelosi: Bush Lacks Power to Invade Iran

If the Dem's really think this war is a failure and we can't win, why don't they get some balls and pass meaningful legislation that stops funding for the troops and has them immediately withdraw...
Right now they are playing both sides of the fence. The war is bad and GWB is an idiot, yet we have no actual plan. Passing a lame, non-binding resolution is a waste of time.

AGAIN, Dem's are afraid to REALLY be liberal. They are talking like liberals to get that vote, but are afraid to act on their thoughts since most of the American people would be outraged to see what the consequences will be after Democrats follow through.

The way the Dems are defending Iran these days is absolutely sick. Iran is not only threatening to wipe out our civilization -- the regime represents what every progressive should be against. The Iranian people themselves are progressive, but Jimmy Carter stabbed them in the back when he stabbed the Shah in the back and let radicals take over.

I admit that I'm not up on the details of the Shah's history before the hostage crisis. I do know that Carter's actions led to the crisis. From there, our relationship with Islamic extremists took a decidedly downward turn. Thank you Jimma.

I recently heard a radio interview with a guy who reminds us that our troubles with Islamofascism goes back to the Barbary Coast pirates during Jefferson's administration. This is when he received the Q'uran that Ellison swore upon when he took office in Minniehaha. As it turns out, to hear the rhetoric of the Islamists back then, you would think you were listening to one of today's scumbags. They saw us as Christian infidels to be destroyed even back then. Yeah, a bit off topic, but who cares?

And what did the Reagan administration do after the hostage crisis? It sold arms to Iran in order to fund US covert operations in Central America.

Then when Iran and Iraq went to war against each other, the US supplied Saddam Hussein with arms and chemical weapons. Strange bedfellows.
