Global warming man-made, will continue

Okay, I'll give you global warming is man made if all you crazy environment wackos admit that we can do nothing about it.
Yes, we can keep trying to find new sources of energy.
Liberals, you can't only read half the study and not the other half. You can't run around saying people cause global warming and then say we have to stop it. The other half of the study says it is going to continue no matter what we do.
So, try and be intellectually honest for a change.

Game,

Let me get to the bottom line of all this. If these wackos are allowed their way, who is going to be allowed to live? Who is going to have to die and how? What is the lifestyle and living standard of the survivors? Is this the wacko left imposing "Soylent Green" on the world?

Game,

Congratulations on apparently understanding that science is real and man contributes to global warming.

And where in your cited article or anywhere else in scientific writing does it say that "we can do nothing about it?"

According to Lorne Gunter of the National Post, a Canadian news source, the IPCC puts out two reports. One is for policy makers and is extremely alarmist. The second is more scientific and much less certain about the causes of global warming. But, more revealing is that those scientists that balk at the Gore-ish angle to global warming, even when they have studies and research to support their opinion, are dropped from the committee. Smearing such global warming deniers is routine, calling them hacks for industry and other such things. The point being that this issue is hardly settled and needs to be opened to the other side a little more before they start legislating in ways that burden the economy. Nationalpost.com has a series of articles about the opposition arguments, as well as the Lorne Gunter piece to which I referred.

Generally, yes. The agenda is about making government more powerful than industry, and making world government more powerful than national government, especially the United States. All of the isms the left preaches are merely means to this end. Think why Kyoto lets our competitors like China and India off the hook.

For example, you would think the environmentalist left would welcome high oil prices and would even tax to jack them up. But during last summer, they were screaming about high they were, and how Bush was rigging the show from his evil lair. (Interesting how no one says Bush is lowering oil prices for the Democrat Congress these days.)

If affluent liberals from the suburbs really mean what they say about reducing consumption, then ***they*** should give up their three-car-garage houses and go live in trailer parks, and ***they*** should sell the SUV and buy something tiny and uber-efficient. But again, it isn't about changing lifestyle, it is about raw power.
