Delay comments on the hypocracy of the Imus story

The message of the ongoing Imus scandal is simple: Verbal offenses against anyone, other than conservatives or Christians or Jews, will be treated as crimes, and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are the judge and jury.

Next, much like Jason Whitlock, DeLay went after America’s two most prominent “civil rights leaders":

And let’s not forget about the Dynamic Duo calling for Imus’ resignation. They have their own past offenses, like the anti-Semitic slur used by the Rev. Jesse Jackson, when he referred to New York City as “Hymietown” in a conversation with reporters. His apology? Asking that we charge his head, not his heart. And the most eloquent Rev. Al Sharpton, who was convicted (read: FOUND GUILTY) of libel when he very publicly accused a white assistant district attorney of raping a young black girl, which never happened. They don’t apologize…they run for president of the United States.

Absolutely delicious. But, all of this was beside the point once DeLay set his sights on the real target of his disaffection:

And for the contextual icing on the cake, where are the repercussions for Rosie O’Donnell’s hateful, idiotic accusations that President Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks? And her ignorant parody of the Chinese language? Or her comparison of conservative Christians to Islamo-fascist terrorists? Why has ABC not suspended her from The View? Why has she not been frog-marched up to some radio show to apologize to 9/11 victims/Chinese-American activists/evangelical Christians?

Here's my favorite recent example of liberal hypocrisy. An art student in Los Angeles created a work, a video game called Christ Killa, where the goal is to kill as many Jesuses as possible.

The propriety of this I'll leave to others to decide at the moment. But consider this-- can one imagine an American making a game called Mohammed Killa? Imagine the cries of racism and Islamophobia! (By the same standards, Christians should be able to use the word Christophobia, y'think?)

It is easier to bully someone who turns the other cheek, than, let us say, threatens beheadings.

See, here is what gets me about you guys, Why is it you assume that even most liberals are displaying hypocracy here? It is these kind of things that tells me you guys don't actually have any idea what you are talking about.

I gave my opinion in an earlier post and have no idea how you see that as hypocritical. I can't seem to master the html but google the Frank Rich column today. He is a well known liberal columnist. I don't see this as hypocritical either? Yes, some people are, on both sides. MeThinks you guys just enjoy finding anything you don't like and labeling it as some big liberal movement.

Excellent post! Ron, Conservatives are not the ones doing the flip- flopping. Frankly I'm tired of the whole Imus, Jesse Jackson & Sharpton's on my airwaves. Enough is enough!

Visit my website and read about Boycotting ABC, The View and their sponsors, as well as signing a petition to get rid of the loud mouthed lunatic, Rosie. Scroll down to "Boycott The View, Part 2" It will link you to the petition as well as all the sponsors.

If Imus lost his job, so should Rosie. Stop the hypocrisy!! Enough said.

I don't want her apology. I just want her absence.

Pamela, I am afraid you missed my point. There is enought hypocracy to go around on both sides and I have no desire to sign anything that would censor Rosie or Rush or anybody. The marketplace will take care of that...welcome to America, as long as we ALL have the freedom of speech.

Ron,

It might have something to do with the Libs controlling mass media, education, and their inherent hypocrisy/bias. That's why we rail so much. Ya' see, we've been put on the definsive for so long, it's become second nature. We know the inherent danger, we're just undecided as to the best solution. So we bitch about it! Ya, ya, lame, I admit, but what ya gonna do? - other than rail about it?

Game has done a decent job documenting said bias - I especially like his "Liberal Bias for what they don't say" post - which I noticed was strangely lacking in dissident opinion. Hmmm, why could that be?

Because it was lame, that's why.

"because it was lame"

damn, that's the best you can do? talk about "head in the sand".

maybe if you're really lucky vital will explain why game is such a faux conservative for daring to post such drivel.
