A few thoughts on Pelosi

WSJ: 'Pelosi may well have committed a felony in traveling to Damascus'...
USA TODAY: Pelosi steps out of bounds...

I don't know why this is news now...
Maybe because this time it is so blatant, so obvious to anyone with a brain that functions correctly...
Democrats and especially the Dem's leader are born to interfere with keeping this country strong...
They are constantly providing comfort to our enemies every time they open their mouths...
They are useful idiots...

In a previous age, leftwing feminists would see wearing the hijab as a form of patriarchy and subjugation.

Now, among their own, the hijab is chic.

On the bright side, perhaps this is a sign cleaning the house and cooking will make a comeback, with feminists leading the charge. We can only hope. :p

I guess Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) is a felon, too? Regarding Bush's criticism:

"That's an important message to realize: We have tensions, but we have two functioning embassies," Issa told reporters after separate meetings with Assad and Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem.

Jim--

Yes.

I'm pro-American first, regardless of party. Jihad Darrell is an open and frequent sympathizer of the Party of God (Hezb'Allah) and other terrorist organizations.

Jim said...

Really? What evidence do you have of that?

"Pelosi said the congressional visits were an "excellent idea" and said she was hopeful that Syrian-U.S. confidence could be restored through dialogue."

"Hopeful, & restored through dialogue". Ooo I feel better allready.

What she did was undermine the only person showing strength, to a people that only understand strength.

Come on jim, she's done nothing to help, only hinder. So, what, "two embassies"? Get real, there's always been two (or more) "official" lines of diplomacy. You've got the "official" line for public consumption, then you've got the "unofficial" line for public consumption (the "unofficial" alway's been to "satisfy" those that think they read between the lines), then you've got all the rest.

It's all the rest I'm worried about. Do they believe we're steadfast, or do they believe we will falter? Hmmm, I wonder what their insinuation was from Pelosi's visit? She only helped, right?

What about the Republics that went before her? What about the Republics WITH her?

Was it OK when Speaker Newt Gingrich spoke out against the Clinton policies as he traveled abroad in the 1990s?

Well, Jim, you can start with this article from 12/7/2001.

Jim said...

Yeah, Jason. I started with that.

Who the hell is Debbie Schlussel? And who cares? Her article provides no evidence, nothing more than snippets of quotes with no context. Lot's of innuendo with no supporting facts, none whatsoever.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. It also does things to help SOME people. If they provided medical care to refugees, would you have sympathy for that work?

Issa has denied Schlussel's accusations. Where is the beef? There is nothing here.

Marshal Art said...

Shlussel's article is rife with sources both foreign and domestic regarding Issa's position and character, including the conressional record. She has a blog. Perhaps you'll find the detail you crave there. I have to say though, her article is every bit as good, if not better, than those you usually use as support for YOUR points.

Jim said...

So the Tehran Times and the Syrian News Agency are now your news sources of record? Wow!

Marshal Art said...

Did Issa dispute the stories?

Read Schlussel's article again to understand the relevance of those periodicals.
