This report will be written as if I acquired liberal mental disorder:
Do we know how this information was obtained?
Did the government illegally listen to phone conversations?
How did they get the first wave of prisoners to confess?
Where they tortured? Are they getting three squares a day?
Are they being allowed religious freedom while in captivity?
If any international laws are being broken or if these men are not given the right guaranteed by the US constitution, I demand they be released IMMEDIATELY!!!!
Who do the Saudis think they are?
They can not do whatever they want. This government will pay for their crimes of torture and illegal searches, illegal information gathering...
Okay...done being a liberal.
Just showing what a road block liberalism can be to fighting bad guys. Liberals help them every step of the way. Saudi Arabia does not have to worry about that...and because they do not have to deal with that...they can be effective in stopping the bad guys...

Nice imagination, Game. Please cite anybody who has actually said this.
lol...there is no one who is in as much denial as to how harmful and destructive liberalism is to the world
Prove it! Show me the quotes. I can't deny your imagination and I can't deny what you don't show me.
you are trying to say that you never heard any democrat talk like this about OUR govt?
That is what I was getting at...that liberals talk like this about what WE do, so WE can't be as affective...
This is Saudi Arabia, not the US.
Here's a Bushie: Cut their balls off. They'll tell us the truth.
Game may have been a bit over the top in tone, but there is no doubt about where such nonsense festers. Those were cartoonish examples of typical liberal attitudes. Deny all you want to, Jim. It won't change anything.
Show me the quotes. Show me the quotes. Show me the quotes. You can profess to "know" the "liberal attitude", but you don't define who the liberals are nor provide actual quotes.
Ergo, you must be making stuff up.
if I feel like wasting my time with you I'll put up some links...but for right now I have a life.
You are already wasting time by making statements you can't back up.
You guys, Jim is right and you have heard me comment about your "cartoon liberal" before. Fine if you just want to discuss among yourselves but if you ever want to actually solve a problem you have to realize that it IS a cartoon, just as much as you percieve my thoughts on conservatives to be..who knows, maybe moreso.
Frankly the thing that is important to me in this story was completely overlooked by Game.
What would happen to America if the Saudi oil suddenly came to a trickle or a much smaller flow? I'll tell you what. Disaster. You don't even want to think about it. All the trucks that can hardly get to the grocery stores and then only at great expense.
This is why alternative energy is a national emergency.
ron--
You are hysterical.
The two top countries America imports oil from are Canada and Mexico. The United States has greatly diversified where it imports its oil since the 1970s.
A big problem with liberals is their zeal to solve problems that don't exist, a fanaticism that ends up pushing programs that create actual problems liberals don't intend. In this case, if ethanol becomes widespread, it isn't implausible to see the price of food rising.
Energy is not an emergency for me, and my income is substantially below the national average. If it is for SUV liberals, they should drive smaller vehicles, and reduce their energy consumption at home. Raising the price of energy by stopping the construction of refineries, nuclear power stations, gas taxes, and eco-regulations on automobiles only hurts the regular citizen, and for no rational end.
Cut the crap, Jim. Are you trying to say that Dems/libs no longer concern themselves with accusations of suspended civil rights? Are you saying that they no longer are worried there might be torture being applied somewhere in this war? Are you saying that libs have changed their tune on such things? You dare pretend specific quotes are still necessary to defend a characterization such as Game has presented? How incredibly dishonest.
And Ron,
You can call it "cartoon liberals" if you like, but what Game did was simply to draw on what has actually been said or supported by the left. "Cartoon" is hardly an appropriate term. Try "composite sketch".
look at Jason the islamic jhaidists are going to kill us all call Ron hysterical.
Jason, we are far from being THAT diversified. If there is a shortage of energy that oil might go to the highest bidder and China has a whole bunch of our money and factories and lots of capitol to compete with.
Next my actual point was that if we could free ourselves of oil dependence we could far lessen the threat of Jhaid(one of my plans for victory that you don't think exist) and we could stop supporting them with American dollars. Sale of our new technology would provide our country with and companies with income and lesson the threat they pose with oil to trickle to a drip. But just go back to saying I'm another guy that wants us to loose while you expose us and support the exact people you say will eliminate us.
Marshall, you pick and choose your liberals that you find "representitave" Is TR and Goldwater and Reagan and Bush all republicans? Did they all believe in the same things? Are any two or three of these philosophcally or in practice nearly Identical?
It's a cartoon.
Quotes stating that Democrats care more about protecting criminals and standing in the way of the govt than fighting crime and terror...if there were liberals in Saudi...they would not have caught anyone and the entire world would have been effected:
"We believe that the President must have the best possible intelligence to protect the American people, but that intelligence must be produced in a manner consistent with our Constitution and our laws, and in a manner that reflects our values as a nation," the letter says.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi; Minority Whip Steny Hoyer; Rep. John Conyers, the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee; and Rep. Henry Waxman, the ranking member on the House Committee on Government Reform, signed the letter.
"We have the role, as elected officials, to exert our influence through the power of the purse -- that's what it's all about," said Murtha, a Pennsylvania Democrat whose committee will hold hearings on Iraq next week. "We try not to micromanage the Defense Department, but I tell you, they need micromanagement. They're out of control."
Jim Moran (Democrat-Virginia), wants Al-Qaeda terrorists in your neighborhoods. “It sets us back on the war on terrorism to be maintaining [Club] Gitmo,” said Jim Moran. "It will enhance our reputation to close it down and to apply our system..."
MORAN: We're going to close down Guantanamo. We would like to win this global war on terrorism
MORAN: But we're not going to win it militarily. We have to win the battle of ideas.
This is silly...all the Dem's complain we are not nice enough to prisoners, we don't give them civil rights, we can't be mean to them...I could do this for hours...
Why don't we drop off Jim, Jay, and Ron in the middle east outside of a US base. Let them apply their solutions to the area. I'm sure they'll survive to tell their tales. They just may come back a converted Muslims and have trained in an AlQaeda camp to save their skins, but then they could really attack America.
"Why don't we drop off Jim, Jay, and Ron in the middle east outside of a US base."
I'd like to drop Ron off in Sudan, where the jihadists have killed 2,000,000 people, and come back and tell me these people don't have genocidal intentions.
Ron--
Free trade is not going to kill us. Protectionists and the farm lobby are just using the terror issue to scare people into subsidies without doing anything about fighting Jihad.
Letting the apocalyptic leader of Iran have nukes may result in the deaths of a lot of us, ethanol or no ethanol.
North Korea, for instance, trades with almost no one. That isn't stopping them from developing weapons tech. This shows that protectionism and isolationism will not make us safer.
In response to the predictable snide comments: North Korea isn't a direct threat to the United States-- they are led by atheists, and not suicidal religious fanatics. You guys are all into multiculturalism and should be able to make these distinctions.
