Former Gov. Tommy G. Thompson officially launched his presidential campaign today in Milwaukee - and quickly left for Iowa, which he concedes will be the proving ground for his long-shot bid for the White House.
If Thompson is smart he can easily gain the nomination...
1. He is an actual conservative
2. He started W-2 which the federal government adopted later...
3. He can formulate his opinion about Iraq and the war on terror...
He is a successful governor who doesn't have baggage, he doesn't have the weaknesses others have...and he can win in Iowa...

Terrific Tommy Thompson would be a decent alternative to the choices now out there. Still, would rather he run in Wisconsin and try to straighten out the incompetence of the dullard Doyle.
I never liked Thompson, buthe is better than any living Democrat politician I've met, and I've met quite a few including Jimmy Carter in Green Bay.
