If so, shouldn't they fight for what they believe in?
Or maybe, everything they do is just a calculated attack on republicans and a move in the chess game for the White House

The Democrat do want to cut and run, but they want to keep their power. Democrats do not want the retribution the voters will take out upon them if they did all what comes across on Jay's daily Democrat conference call.
Oh, Jay, did I spill the beans again and ruin a debate because you are destroyed before you start with your Democrat talking points and obfuscations?
The Democrats do not want to fund the troops. If they could get away with it, they'd leave the troops there and redirect all the money to handout programs to their supporters, and themselves, like Diane Feinstein did.
