The parades and marches and rallies will never help. The only thing that will is to elect the type of candidates that back the types of law changes that will allow for a real correction of these problems. In general, that would be conservative candidates, but specifically, those that would push for concealed carry, harsher penalties for the little crimes (grafitti for example), removing all exercise equipment from prisons and jails (except for the guards to use), and an overall attitude that gives a citizen's word weight over that of a punk with a record. That's for starters, but those alone would improve things.
