I love this.
We know that liberals pretend to be outraged about things and pretend to care about injustice, and we all know it is simply a front to hate various aspects of America. Read this article and see some great examples...such as:
May 25, 2007 -- HOW many "human-rights activists" does it take to betray civilization?
After the Fatah al-Islam terrorists holed up in a Palestinian camp carried out a wave of bombings, bank robberies and assassinations, Lebanon's struggling democratic government ordered its army to stop them. The Palestinian refugees themselves applauded the army's efforts, stating that few of the terrorists were local and most were fanatics from other Muslim states. The terrorists ruled with the gun and sought to enforce Sharia law. Their victims want them gone.
The response from Human Rights Watch? Ignore the crimes of the terrorists and criticize the Lebanese army for attacking them "indiscriminately."
In its latest report, Amnesty International denounces the United States again. This time, it seems we're the foremost global abuser of human rights.
Guantanamo is one of the world's best-run prisons, where terrorists are treated all too indulgently. But to hear the human-rights charlatans, you'd think we were the SS at Babi Yar.
And don't forget that wicked-beyond-all-wickedness criminal state, Israel. Thank God we have men and women of conscience to defend the freedom fighters who launch rockets blindly into Israeli cities or massacre children as a legitimate form of protest. (How many times do you hear liberals complain that Israel is the problem, not the people who lob bombs into school yards)
How can anyone who pretends to have a conscience attack the United States for violating human rights and engaging in "fear-mongering," while looking away as millions of Zimbabweans live on the brink of starvation in a police-state, hundreds of thousands lie dead in Darfur, all of North Korea makes Guantanamo look like Martha's Vineyard - and Islamist fanatics kill tens of thousands of Muslims?
if you twist things sufficiently, you can blame America for the Muslim victims of Muslim terrorism. (Liberals do this all the time...we create terrorists in Iraq)
And I keep missing the mass demonstrations against female circumcision
Activists prefer protecting the killers.
Don't any of those sanctimonious human-rights advocates pause to consider what they're doing to hundreds of millions of their fellow human beings when they suggest that the paramount threat to human rights comes from the United States? How do they rationalize all the slaughter, rape, real torture and starvation-as-a-policy they ignore to embarrass Washington?
AMEN!!!!

Best run prisons? I'm sure the Gestapo also boasted of some of the best-run prisons in the world. So what?
Please define "terrorist."
There is a point here Jim, maybe you are unable to see it or don't want to because your side is so damn destructive and blind to what is actually going on in the world that you can't face the music...that seems to be your tune lately
If there is a point here, you're not making it.
The point, besides the one atop Jim's head, is the fact that so many look to America as a violator of human rights and freedoms, while all around us real violations occur chronically. And yes, as far as conditions for prisoners go, Gitmo is a freakin' resort.
Game,
Jim is a example of what is wrong with the Democrat party and of the left. Jim can not see evil if it doesn't have a "-R" behind its name.
You could almost put any liberal "civil rights" organization's name in the story and substitute lawsuit for gun, and the point would be the same.
Awesome article, Game.
Jim knows damn well who fits the left's definition of 'terrorist'. Keith Olbermann told him George Bush is the major terrorist of the world, and Michael Moore told him the Jihadists are freedom fighters.
Jim doesn't have the courage to say this here, which is why we see so much evasion, contradiction, and doublethink from this bozo.
I apologize. Jim is fun to kick around, so I shouldn't be completely mean to him. Things would be quite boring around here without our own version of Alan Colmes.
;)
Jason, for the life of me I don't know why I should even respond anymore to abusive crap like yours. Guess I'm addicted. The only self control I seem to have left is to refrain from calling all of you the names you call your guests.
I don't claim George W. Bush is a terrorist. I don't think much about Michael Moore. He doesn't tell me anything. As is typical, you pick out the most extreme anecdotes and paint the entire Democratic party and the liberal movement with the same brush.
And then the most hurtful, crushing attack of all, to compare me to Alan Colmes. Colmes is the saddest thing on TV. Ever notice how much his jaw looks and acts like a ventriloquist's dummy?
jim
I have to defend Colmes. He does as good a job as anyone who has to defend the often indefensible. And he's got back bone enough to do it night after night. Which is hell of a lot more than you can say for most of his comrades.
The only reason he looks like such a bufoon, is because his views are subjected to scrutiny for all to see on an almost nightly basis. His comrades would look equally bufooney if they had the gonads to subject themselves to serious opposition. I find it very amusing to see the flak he catches from those on the left, who just can't see the irony of it all.
So jim, you should be flattered. Most of your compatriots flee when it's clear they've lost the debate. You, however, have the backbone to back your convictions long after its clear they're indefensible. ;)
Colmes is a moderate liberal I think...and hurrayyyy for Jim!!!!
What's a "moderate liberal"?
Do they just want the gov't to wipe our ass for us some of the time?
All kidding aside, the modern day Democrat party has no room for a "moderate liberal", be it the war on terror, crime, immigration, education, health care, taxes, the environment, labor, abortion, religion, welfare, whatever. Of course during election time, they'll find many democrats that claim they're moderate (and they're voting record will be ignored by the voters).
On the other hand with the recent "cave in" by many Republicans on the immigration bill, coupled with all the Rhinos on the various executive branch appointments the last few years, I'm beginning to think the Republican party is the party of moderate liberals.
Which pretty much makes you a wing nut, no?
jim,
define "wing nut".
I may, or may not "own up" to that handle.
Of course if there's a specific statement I've made that leads you to that conclusion, then, by all means, spit it out.
Ya, see, unlike you and Jay, I'm proud of what I believe, and am willing to back it up, and, most importantly won't claim that you're "lumping" me in with a lot of "extreme conservatives".
Oou, oou, that's not fair! Don't "lump" me, damnit!
- just kidding!!! lump away!
Wing nut is to the right of moderate Republicans which definitely means out of the mainstream.
To the dismay of many on the left, the "mainstream" is solidly conservative.
Unfortunately, many are confused by election time flim-flaming.
So if that makes a wing-nut, then so be it!
"Moderate Republicans" are nothing more than wishy-washy people with sore asses (from sitting on those fence posts, don't ya know).
