Here is what an old black radio talk show host said yesterday on the air:
"Mother Sykes, she dead. To me it's the vengeance of God. I ain't got no tears. Matter of fact a woman that would have a fool like that deserve whatever is coming her. She raised a sure enough idiot," McGee said on his radio show. "My instincts say Charlie Sykes killed his momma, cuz she live out in this big palace in Mequon all isolated. He got tired of waiting for her money."
What will happen to him?
Nothing...
White talk show hosts use a racial slur, suspended for a week...
Black talk show host uses slurs daily and talks about how awesome it is an old lady died of smoke inhalation....nothing...

Offensive speech is not offensive, if the speaker is a minority

I guess we have to put up with this type of free speech, but in McGee's case, I still believe it is a hate crime.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with asking his sponsors(Advertisers) why they support such a hate filled bigot.
I can't see how much money the station gets for his show...I think about 45 people listen to it
And absolutely NOTHING will be done
to penalize the racist/bigot Mcgee.
Three comments (and a post), and everyone's wrong . . .
1. It's not a hate crime. It's hateful, sure, but McGee committed no criminal act.
2. McGee buys the time from the station owner. It wouldn't matter how many listeners there are.
3. McGee's now off the air indefinitely. No "suspended for a week" business.
Jay, don't be so quick to say he committed no criminal act. Rick Esenberg seems to think it was clearly defamation. I think Charlie, if he chooses to, has grounds for a pretty solid civil case, and with the threats he is still making today (on Fox6), it may not be over.
Well, I guess they did do something...
Not comparable to Belling since Belling is the number one radio show at his time slot and he said ONE word that people didn't like...
McGee calls for the hanging of black people who are not really black, and says stupid crap like he did the other day..and he has to pay to be on the air
