What did "Live Earth" accomplish?

What good will come from "Live Earth?"
A few stories:

OVERNIGHTS SHOW 'LIVE EARTH' IN LAST PLACE ON NBC...
'DISMAL' IN UK...
'Where were the great campaigning rock bands of our times?'

How many years until people start getting sick of the newest environmentalist "cause?"

Of course, I was at Summerfest seeing some of the loser bands not good enough to get invited to Live Earth. I think I had the better time.

At least nobody got pissed off at you for eating a brat.

good one realism...
And I must have missed the huge bands playing for huge crowds at Live Earth...but I did see huge amounts of carbon credits being purchases to cover all the private jets and high energy lights

"What did Live Earth" accomplish"

It highlighted a bunch of shallow liberals that dream of being taken seriously, symbolically patting themselves on the backs, shouting "look at me, look at me, I care!"

SUMMERFEST had better concerts over-all,if not the hype of this "WORLD" EVENT.

What did "Live Earth" accomplish?

A couple of things.

-It showed just how badly many singers need studio effects.

-It showed these huge benefit concerts just aren't lighting the fires under peoples' feet as they did back in the day when the concept was new.

-or-

-It showed that for many, this issue isn't the moral biggie AlGore likes to believe it is.
