A Sheboygan woman's second conviction for drunken driving was overturned today by the Second District Court of Appeals because police stopped the woman based only on an anonymous tip.
"The anonymous tip contained insufficient indicators of reliability and the police lacked reasonable suspicion to conduct a traffic stop; therefore, we reverse (the conviction)," Appeals Court Judge Daniel P. Anderson wrote.
Isn't this called police work? This doesn't make any sense.

No, it doesn't.
Does this happen frequently?
Hash, Out here in "flyover country" anonymous tips are called in all the time.
This woman obviously has a drinking problem. When she drives drunk and kills someone, you Libs will be screaming about why wasn't this woman taken off the road. Look in the mirror for that reason.
"Hash, Out here in "flyover country" anonymous tips are called in all the time."
Who cares, fudgie? This is self-explanatory. I was referring to whether or not the cops just spring drunk drivers indiscriminately, and whether the people tolerate it.
"This woman obviously has a drinking problem."
Thank you, Captain Obvious.
"When she drives drunk and kills someone, you Libs will be screaming about why wasn't this woman taken off the road."
I don't think so, fudgie. Progressives aren't as likely to go careening drunkenly across America's roadways as your typical Rethug fool, who thinks he owns the road. Moreover, in small towns where law enforcement looks the other way, it's far more likely to be a so-called conservative town elder, "pillar of the community", minister, or just everyday crony that gets a pass on their transgressions.
Once again, if she IS given the right to endanger us all once again, it'll be because one of YOU fell down on the job.
Conservatives have no respect for the law.
I think Hash was actually defending the ruling. Not even Hash can be this stupid, can he?
I don't think I have ever known of someone who fits the stereotypical liberal so well.
Here, Hash even lives up to the "liberals defend criminals" stereotype.
You think incorrectly.
Name one word I said where I defend the release of this women.
I deplore drunk drivers.
Now stop manipulating the truth.
Hash clearly wasn't defending the ruling. Game, you're as delusional as PCD in this case.
Should this woman kill someone while driving drunk, everyone will be upset with the ruling. It is not a partisan issue.
This sentence makes it seem like hash is against cops pulling people over, as was the liberal judge who let her go:
I was referring to whether or not the cops just spring drunk drivers indiscriminately, and whether the people tolerate it.
In that sentence, Hash was clarifying a question he had posed.
And I thought you had more sense than PCD...
