Wisconsin State Fair Day 10: Saturday, August 11th

Miller Lite Mainstage Review:

Switchfoot and Emerson Hart of Tonic continued the sad trend at this years grandstand...and empty one. Two years ago Switchfoot played to 7500 at the Grandstand. This year, maybe 2200. The Wisconsin State Fair needs to decide what they want. If they want shows that people want to see, then get more than $75,000 a show approved immediately and book some shows. Two years ago they averaged $100,000 a show, and it was sold out three times, and the average crowd was over 5,000. Switchfoot's show was low-energy, as was Emerson Hart. Then Switchfoot figured out they are almost done as a band, so they signed autographs. Apparently all 2200 wanted one, and they stayed out for an hour and twenty minutes.
I forgot to mention that this years State Fair Classic ended quickly this year. My father and brother were destroyed in a cricket dart tournament 2-0 by myself and Rob.
Today was the biggest crowd I can remember being at the Fair. Everyone goes to the fair one day a year, and since the weather was terrible almost the entire fair, they all came today. We finally got out into the park at 1130, and the Budweiser pavilion was packed and overflowing, just like the good old days. We stayed until the park closed, then moved over to a great place the drink, Safe House. A great way to end a great day at the Fair. I did get one more order of cheese nuggets and two more glasses of Herb Kohl milk. Today, my stomach is telling me to stop eating all this crap. I say, NO.

It looks positively awful!

I'd rather drink bleach than have to suffer through such crap-o-la.

Is the "Flyover Fair" over yet?

Or can we expect Mr. Ziffel to be reincarnated from the dead, for our entertainment pleasure?

Three...two...one...done.The fair went very smoothly from a mainstage point of view.MAYBE drinking bleach would help old hashhead between the ears,he certainly could use the help.

I'm sorry, I just cannot imagine having to live a life so dull that these sorts of bacchanals would be a diversion (and I actually live a relatively quiet life)...

The first few posts, I thought were supposed to be satirical.

It wasnt Switchfoot's fault the crowd was so lame. They put on an outstanding (howbeit it rather short) show. I was blown away, yet again by those guys. And fyi they arent almost done as a band.

Hash pretends to be some big time east coast liberal, yet spends all his time alone in his house on the computer. It must be a sad world for Hash

What makes you think that, game?

Probably the number of laughable posts daily might lead one to think
the computer is the only thing being used regularly Hash.
