The Deomcratic Party's platform for 2008

This comment by Marshall is so good I have to post it here:

More accurately, no one knows what the Democratic Party stands for. That is except for abortion on demand, taxing the crap out of producers, lowering the bar on morals and decency under the guise of freedom of speech, and yes, by virtue of their lame attacks on the Bush administration since the beginning of his first term, getting their sorry asses back in the White House no matter the cost. If they have an actual platform that is more than simply spewing ambiguous platitudes, they've never published it.

Here come the deluge of platitudes about peace, community, caring for the children, and so forth.

I'm sure many will prefer to change the subject, and talk about how hypocritical Republicans can be. Which is true sometimes, though it makes the point-- at least Republicans have principles they fail to live up to. The Dems, they have very few principles anymore, it is just anti- anti- anti- all of the time. You'd think they'd at least pat themselves on the back for getting No Child Left Behind and the prescription drug benefit out of Bush, but no, if Bush is for it, the nutroots is against it. And their leftist buddies in the media have the nerve to blame *us* for being partisan and unopen to compromise. Sheesh!

Marshall's load of unadulterated horse shit is that good, huh? You're deluded.

BTW, Strong at Home, Respected in the World.

I know how frustrating it must be for you Jim, having your party's platform explained so well...and having no way to refute it.

More accurately, no one knows what the Republican Party stands for. That is except for never ending war, providing a never-ending supply of wage slaves for their corporate masters, lowering the bar on morals and decency by promoting a culture of violence and selfishness, and yes, by virtue of their lame attacks on the all Democrats since the 1960's, keeping their sorry asses in the White House no matter the damage to our country. If they have an actual platform that is more than simply spewing divisive hateful rhetoric against minorities and non-Christians, they've never published it.

The following questions were discussed in the Spanish democratic debate. I wonder if they are part of the DNC platform:
1) making Spanish the 2nd language
2) amnesty for all illegals
3)more bilingual education
4)bailing out subprime mortgages
4) healthcare for illegals

Check out Lexis/Nexis for the transcript in English because it sure was not broadcast in our language

Andy said...

Of course they are!!!

Football mom, that was an entirely stupid question and you could have easily answered it yourself by reading the official platform at the DNC site. I suspect you know full well they aren't part of the platform and aim to match PCD in his stupidity.

The Game said...

SLAM DUNK...oh, realism and Jim have almost the exact same posts word for word in regards to what the Republicans stand for...and you guys say we get our "talking points" from Rush and Sean...what stupid ass liberal web site did you copy and paste that stuff from?

Andy said...

The slam dunk is that he effectively "punked" you. He made you and Marshall look like a bunch of twits. He simply used Marshall's tactic and gave the Democratic version in a sarcastic manner. I'm startled you didn't recognize the tactic of using tired arguments and generalizations, your speciality, and are not kissing his ass on the front page of your blog.

I guess you're too engrossed in conspiracy theories on President Clinton killing Vince Foster and Ron Brown...

The Game said...

football mom, you rock

Andy,
You ignorant twit. Go google Nexis/Lexis and read the debate. It is all there, honey.

Thanks Game,

It seems that these men just love to put down a consevative woman. Their manners go out the window. Bring it on fellas.

I dont understand why you hate brown people footballmom. But, whatever... Keep going after "others" like this and the Dems are going to walk all over you in elections.

"check out Lexis/Nexis for the transcript in English because it sure was not broadcast in our language"

Amazing that Clinton and the other Dems could have such control over the Spanish language like that. Those "r"s really rolled off her tongue.

Besides.. who doesnt watch La Fea Mas Bella..

Andy said...

Footbal mom, you ignornant slut. (SNL reference, anyone?) It's there. Great. However, it is quite a logical jump to assume that entails full legal amnesty amnesty and English as the 2nd language. Moreover, it is absurd to think that Sen. Clinton sets the platform.

Does Fred Thompson define and codify the GOP platform as he campaigns? Rudy? Romney?

"bailing out subprime mortgages"

Really? You're against this?

Realism said...

way to play the sexism card. football mom. (if you really ARE a woman)

Andy, did you read the transcript of the debate. Clinton said she will act on comprehensive immigration reform within one year of her presidency.
So, you are saying that immigration reform is not needed?

This is part of the DNC platform. Read between the lines, idiot.
By "read between the lines", of course, football mom is saying "make up some stupid shit and then attribute it to the speaker". It is a common republican tactic

You guys are way too funny. Last time I checked, I was a woman? Are you men? Maybe you should check if you still have testes.
You show your ignorance by resorting to name calling. Oh and by assuming I am not a woman, do you mean women cannot debate? How sexist of you?

There are more conservative women like me out there who are sick of metrosexuals like you destroying our country. We are out here and we will not be ignored.

When you read the questions of the debate and also the rhetoric of the DNC website, you understand that the agenda is set to increase the democratic base by pandering to the Hispanics. What they don't understand is that most Latinos are conservative in nature and Latino-Americans are more in tune with conservative priciples.

I am pro legal immigrant and would love to increase this number.

None said...

"Latinos are conservative in nature"

But, what about in captivity?

Interesting theory you have about Latinos. Because, it seems to go against every poll ever created in the history of time. It even goes against the conventional wisdom of Democrats and the Republicans.

You should pick up a copy of the WSJ today. Check out the letters to the editor. Cuban-Americans meet Democratic candidates.. Fun to be had for all.

"I am pro legal immigrant"
Your so warped you can even function at this point.

"There are more conservative women like me out there who are sick of metrosexuals like you destroying our country. We are out here and we will not be ignored."

I'd like to exterminate you full-scale in camps set up precisely for that purpose. I'm not getting my wish and, frankly, neither are you.

"I am pro legal immigrant and would love to increase this number."

Yeah, enough mercenaries from SA and Israel to turn our land into a veritable "Hymie-land", I'll just bet....

"Your so warped you can even function at this point."

Her brain is still "in utero"...

The Game said...

Here is the difference...
All the Dems are forced to think the way the crazy far-left bloggers think until the general election. The conservatives have people all over the map at their debates.
Are there any pro Bush/military candidates on the Left?
They all say the same thing in different ways.
You can't, with a straight face, say Rudi and Fred share all the same stances...

Andy said...

Game is drinking the Kool-Aid. Apparently, the only way for a Democrat to take a pro-military stance is to back President Bush on the war.

hashfanatic said...

"Are there any pro Bush/military candidates on the Left?"

Well, obviously, here in New York, there are PLENTY...

The thing is, what you don't understand is, they don't accept ALL of the Bush Crime Family's antics without question. For instance, one guy I know, strongly believes the troop numbers should have been far higher, right from the start. He is strongly (as I am) opposed to tax cuts for the rich during a time of war, however.

Another guy is strongly liberal, almost progressive, and rabidly supported the war because he, to a large extent, bought into the "Islamofascist" craze, and thought the war was the best thing for our country...but he readily acknowledged the Israel lobby's role in our involvement in Middle East politics. Now, for him, Abu Ghraib wasn't as big of a deal as it was for others...it was the steady erosion of our rights of privacy and our personal freedoms at home that is now his primary beef. He doesn't think the results in Iraq justified the loss of our rights at home....

Game, we have freedom to think for ourselves, argue amongst ourselves, disagree on various aspects, and think critically.

This dynamic (or anything close to it) simply doesn't exist on the American right. It's (as Chucklenuts once opined), "Either you're with us, or against us".

The simplicity of this credo may well appeal to the more hawkish elements within, but does nothing for those who feel left behind, when the actual complexities of the issues assert themselves (like when it became clear there could BE no national security with open borders and unrestricted immigration, and so many Republicans continued to oppose a rational plan for illegal aliens, as opposed to the pitiful compromise they came up with).

The conservative platform was always way too narrow, and the neocon takeover strangled all freedom of thought and expression.

I could never be a part of a political platform like that, even if I frequently agreed with it.

That's ok Hash, we don't need you.

The Game said...

Telling them to come home from doing their job...is that the liberal way of being pro-military and Iraq war? Idiot.

hash said:

HA!!!! Your two Senators are not

hashfanatic said...

Well, DUH...

Besides, Hillary is VERY pro-war, and VERY much at the mercy of the lobby.

Turn it around, and look at Hagel and Warner bailing out. They see the writing on the wall, know the GOP is on its descendency, don't want to live their lives out as part of a minority...

In truth, I see both parties coming crashing down, for the very reasons I've mentioned above. The platforms are too limiting and Americans are becoming more savvy about the world around them.

Andy said...

Allowing the debacle at Walter Reed to happen under your nose is supporting the troops? Idiot!

Gee...this adolescent game is fun.

It's scary that a piss ant like you has the job of educating America's youth.

hashfanatic said...

Walter Reed is STILL not fixed, for those of us keeping track at how well the neocons take care of the troops whose lives they have destroyed.

Wow Andy and Hash,
It sounds like you did your research for the day by consulting the communist Moveon.org website. Good work, boys!!

Realism said...

Football mom provides an excellent example of repubican rhetoric. When you are not able to address the opposition's arguments directly, simply change the subject by throwing out inflammitory charges like "communist" or "terrorist lover"

Way to dodge the charges using dishonest rhetoric. Karl Rove would be proud.

hashfanatic said...

I'm proud of moveon.org for correctly identifying "Betray-us" for exactly what he is, a puppet (who's a presidential candidate for 2012) who was never trustable to begin with.

Moveon.org is a hell of a lot more "American" then any of the milbloggers or mercenary scumbags that "Smelly Tuna" throws in with.

You never know, when their allegiances are to company, rather than country.

That's why they must be "disappeared", without a trace, by any means necessary...

Anonymous said...

Realism, I wouldn't call your feeble minded attempts, arguments. I'm happy a piss ant like you is not educating my children. I would appreciate someone like game as an educator.

How pathetic for you and Hash to be sitting next to your computer instead of having meaningful relationships on a Friday night.

hashfanatic said...

I'm sure your "meaningful relationship" would be going strong right about now, had you not forgotten to stop for D batteries instead of cocktails...

Now go back to your single-wide, and occupy yourself otherwise. Your whorish presence brings even this blog further down into the gutter.

I'm sorry. Was I mistaken about abortion on demand? Isn't that what is meant by "choice"? I know they like to say crap like, "Safe, but rare" and other such smoke screens, but they don't really rare. If they did, they would encourage character and morality. But instead, they promote the "My Truth" code of ethics, as if truth is subjective. Are any of your candidates supporting any reductions or restrictions on abortion?

I can't for the life of me think of which candidate is for lowering taxes. Can you help me out here?

I don't recall when Republicans have defended pornography, lessened standards for broadcast, pushed for domestic partner benefits, supported homosexual marriage.

But I do recall how they all got religion when it became clear that people of faith tend to vote Republican, since pandering is their stock and trade. And what have they done or said that convinces you they have the right ideas concerning the WOT when their M.O. has been to simply decry every tactic and strategy put forth by Bush. No one denies the rights of another to disagree. But the Dems simply say, "That sucks!" and calls that dissent. When they offer a real alternative, then we can talk.

BTW, I do intend to check out the link provided by Jim. It may be the first time a link from him might be totally relevant to the discussion, but I fully expect to find the Dem's platform as ambiguous and lacking real meaning as their campaign rhetoric. Who knows, maybe I'll be surprised. *snicker*

In the meantime, perhaps you can support Realism's clever turnabout. Flesh it out as I have my perspective on the Dems. It'll be fun explaining once again how your notions are fantasy. I'm on the edge of my sofa.

my daughter, who is 11 and a stauch conservative.

I suppose that's appropriate for her level of mental and emotional development.

What's your excuse?

hashfanatic said...

That's why reeducation camps will need to be made available for the offspring as well...

Marshal Art said...

OK Realism. That was a good shot. Could I have been more wide open.

For true realism, however, she understands accountability, personal responsibility and kicks ass in school. She hopes for a good Christmas, but seeks way of increasing her earnings. She loves the Lord, understands that charity begins with her and stands up for smaller kids. I could not be more proud. She doesn't really pay attention to politics, but she already lives more like a conservative and that shows maturity. What's YOUR excuse?

hashfanatic said...

"She hopes for a good Christmas, but seeks way of increasing her earnings."

Wow, way to teach a child the true meaning of the birth of Our Savior, the Lord.

"A Robber Baron's Family Christmas"!

Do the Three Wise Men arrive in an Escalade?

You forgot we are for shooting babies, cutting of the heads of the rich, giving everybody 9 months of paid vacation and letting the jhaidists move next door...to you of course!

Sorry game but a respectful question gets a respectful answer. Again you and Jason have moved to the silly zone.

Marshal Art said...

Hash,

For the mere thought of believing you can mention my daughter, run as fast as you can and don't stop until your face hits a brick wall. Are you going to pretend you know kids who don't know the meaning of Christmas but still hope for cool stuff? Are you going to run with that sorry lie, you posing fraud? I won't ask about kids of your own, because the thought of you breeding is too much to handle.
