How can Couric report without a bias?

Here is what Katie thinks about the war:

“Everyone in this room would agree that people in this country were misled in terms of the rationale of this war,” said Couric, adding that it is “pretty much accepted” that the war in Iraq was a mistake.

This plays into my argument that liberals think that everyone who thinks like them is the normal, everyday American public. Even though polls show a majority are unhappy with the war, her statement that it is "pretty much accepted" the war was a mistake is flat out wrong. Based on her beliefs, she is going to pick stories and run stories with her point of view...since that is what "everyone" thinks.

Once again, the liberal media CAN NOT be fair and balanced, because they report the news with blinders on, with misconceptions. To them, the only ones who do not agree with them are far-right wing neocons. So to the far-left, the news does seem right down the middle. It is right down the middle if you are a left-wing liberal.

You're delirious, Game. Polls show that 55% of Americans don't believe it was worth it to go to war (in other words a mistake). Another poll says 62% say it was a mistake. 59% say the troops should leave as soon as possible.

Maybe the media is just trying to compensate for "blinders" they wore in the run up to the war in 2002 and 2003. :-)

Even 59% still leaves 41% who think otherwise...you don't get the point, do you?
To the liberal media, EVERYONE thinks the way they do, so they can report stories that way...

"Everyone".. includes independents. The polls tipped when independent voters abandoned the Iraq War. Now, its everybody against the Republicans. Kind of a lonely place, isnt it? Just why do you hate America?

Its not really the "liberal" media.. Its the "independent" media. They are the ones that always get their way.

She didn't say that it is "universally accepted" that the war was a mistake or even that it is "overwhelmingly accepted" that the war was a mistake.

There are always going to be brainwashed, mislead people who will believe whatever the government tells them without question.

game,

And useful idiots like Jim, Phil, Parklife, etc. will never believe the government unless it is as whacked out as they are.

Correct, and this blog is filled with the rantings of such lemmings.

They expect normal Americans to follow them off the cliff!

When do you stop this 'liberal media and lies' stuff?? How about Fox News? You probably think that it's 'fair and balanced', don't you?

Rush said it best yesterday, liberals will not believe the truth if it conflicts with the liberal's carefully crafted coccoon of lies that they live in. The libs here, especially hash, Jim, "american", and Phil sure prove that statement.

Here's another example of a "reporter" being a lib gotcha propagandist first and a reporter never:

Newsbusters? Finkelstein?

Fudgie, you need some more time up on the rack...

PCD Sir,

You and your 'Rush'!! How funny he talked about living inside a 'coccoon'!!! Don't you think he was talking about people like you who would believe anything that comes out of those radio talk shows??

So...you call me a 'liberal' because I don't agree with your partisan junk?? Well - I don't think you have an answer!

Fudgie's "rush" seriously dissed the troops yesterday....

Such a phony that degenerate junkie is.

PCD said...

hash, you seriously dis America daily, and you lie about Rush.

American, I doubt you are an American, except maybe a Mexican illegally in the US.

Don't listen to or respond to PCD. He constantly lies, and refuses to admit it even when presented with incontrovertible evidence.

His comments therefore have no value, other than ammunition for those of us who enjoy mocking him.

Phil, degenerate extrordinaire, you can leave. Your worthless comments are not needed, especially when you can refute nothing.

No, I don't, for I am your master...

You, like Rush, use the troops for propaganda purposes and dump them on the killing fields (or the still-unrepaired Walter Reade) when they don't spew Hughie's program...)

"Phil, degenerate extrordinaire, you can leave. Your worthless comments are not needed, especially when you can refute nothing."

Now, THAT'S very audacious, boy.

You know, you've been a VERY naughty boy, fudgie...

Looks like we'll have to have another "session" before you head back to Postville...
