because liberal environmentalists don't let evil companies thin out forests, we have more forest fires...that is actual cause and effect, unlike global warming.

Besides.. who is suggesting this could possibly be the result of global warming? Its not like the state's park system is forecast to have a $1 billion maintenance backlog in the coming six years. You conservatives think money grows on trees.
Things the fire has nothing to do with... the large amount of chaparral that grew in '04-'05 from the wet winters then. Combined with the exceptionally dry summer this year and last. Toss in some 80-mph winds.. And what kind of tinder box do you think you get. I'm sure you're right though.. Cutting down trees is the only way to stop the fires.
