Gore gets a cold shoulder

link

ONE of the world's foremost meteorologists has called the theory that helped Al Gore share the Nobel Peace Prize "ridiculous" and the product of "people who don't understand how the atmosphere works".

I'm going to keep posting story after story after story after story of more and more and more and more scientist stating that algore is full of crap.
Jim and Hash and all the other liberals can sit there with there fingers in their ear saying "la la la, I'm not listening, algore is God, if you don't agree with him you are an intolerant, uninformed neocon, la la la."

You can worship at the alter of algore, I'll stick to debate, actual science and common sense.

And we are all thankful. I am still worrying about Manbearpig and here is Gore running off to save the planet from natural flucuations.

The liberals have all gone looney... or have surpassed themselves anyway.

Once again, what is an "algore"?

What does this code mean?

I don't remember how it started, but Rush did it in 2000, something to do with egore

As in "Igor".

well, as long as that douchebag said it....

i guess he wasn't hatin' on his fake troops yet!

making comments like that shows you have no ability to think and process information...

And resorting to algore is such a boost to your credibility....

The Game said...

you don't even have the guts to say who you are...
I make wonderful, insightful comments daily...
But once again, liberals try and shift the focus away from their failed, emotional ramblings...
No one, NO ONE has disputed the fact that algore's movie and religious environmentalist movement is based on crap...and no one can respond to ANOTHER top scientist speaking out against this crap.

Using "algore" is certainly a reasoned approach to argument and shows no reliance on emotion. Are you kidding me! Have you been smoking your students' weed?

"Ya!" "Ya!"

Geez. When they're reduced to trying to rip us for using "algore" or "Goracle" or other such fun pet names, things must be pretty bad for them. Good.

still, NOT ONE COMMENT made about the issue...ha ha ha

hashfanatic said...

Actually, I'd never seen the "algore" contraction before, and was curious as to its derivation.

The typically cryptic explanations offered up did little to actually explain the meanings behind them, but that goes further in reinforcing the validity of MY positions, which I always readily can explain in clear, concise, non-politically corrected terms, as opposed to the drunken, radio-programmed gobbledygook that wingnuts base their rationales (or, perhaps more accuratedly, relativisms) on...

Sure is a warm fall evening here tonight.

Look more closely.

You actually got four.

Why not just admit the truth, which is that Gore's body of research has yet to be solidly discredited by scientific research, and simply wait for the real experts to kick in?

If there is validity to your doubts, they will be proven soon enough.

And, game?

All you've ever stated is that Gore said this and that, he is Gore, I don't like him, he's not a Republican, and therefore, he is wrong...

This is OPINION, not SCIENCE.

At this juncture, your personal opinion is no more or less valid than anyone else's.

Presenting an actual CASE for your opinion, and appearing clear-minded and teachable might actually win some of your readers over to your case.

Gray has been bashing Vice-President Gore for years. Even global warming skeptics are critical of Gray.

No comment about the issue, Game? You haven't made any comments about the issue either. All you do is criticize a highly respected person who has been an environmental proponent for decades.

"You haven't made any comments about the issue either."

Frankly, when it comes to actual substance, I've been far more critical of Gore's global warming then game ever has been!

This post by game was more or less along the lines of "Look, ALGORE tripped on his shoelace, and he fell, and scraped his elbow! YA! YA!"

It's easier...

Gore has renewed his media presence over the course of the past few days.

What does everyone think?

Is he setting himself up for a presidential run, or merely reframing the parameters of the nation's political debate?

"Is he setting himself up for a presidential run, or merely reframing the parameters of the nation's political debate?"

No doubt. The former. Start a fire. Alert everyone to it's presence. Volunteer to put it out. Be the hero. Get elected. That's the game plan.

Best part about the plan is that it's a no-lose proposition. Should by some dramatic and unprecedented stroke of luck the goofball is totally correct, the ramifications aren't likely to be felt for decades. If by chance he still alive, he's got the big "I told you so" working for him. Should he be wrong, he could still paint himself as the hero for alerting the world and affecting it's habits and policies, because there'd be no tangible way of proving it one way or the other. Criminally genius, actually.

Of course, but that's not limited to Gore! Climate change deniers can also jump on the same bandwagon.

I'm certainly still on the fence about it, although Gore has presented an impressive body of research on the issue, that seems to be supported by an overwhelming majority of the scientific community.

I'm not a scientist, or even particularly interested in the topic, but I am a skeptic, but even I see the irony of the nonbelievers pointing out every cool day in summer as conclusive evidence of their viewpoint, as I take pains to now point out every warm day we've had this fall...

More conclusive evidence and conclusions could be right around the corner.

I'd like to see Gore run, and could certainly decide to vote for him, in a way that I could never vote for Hillary. My views most closely parallel those of Kucinich, I believe Edwards is worthy of support, and, although I respect Paul and believe he is the quickest route to fundamental, lasting change, I would feel somewhat more comfortable with Gore at the controls.

I just find the timing of Gore's latest statements on various world and domestic issues as intriguing, much as I found Hillary's anointing to premier status this summer, when I could find only one person I knew, and not one in my study group, to admit they were willing to vote for her.
