Elizabeth Edwards: "Republicans Scare Me"

First of all: Why is this news?

Second, you see on display a liberals way of thinking....emotion.
I'm scared...

"doesn’t believe in evolution and has some nutty views about what it is we should do about ending violence in our inner city — we should make sure all of our young people are armed. Republicans scare me."
Okay, he believes in creation not evolution...so do a lot of other people.
I don't know what she is talking about in regard to the inner cities, but she should be scared to go into one...mostly because of failed social programs like welfare. Milwaukee is pretty much ruined by having really awesome welfare in the 80's and early 90's. Now we have the offspring of losers from all over the country who came here to get the best handout in the world walking around shooting people as they wait at a bus stop and get gas.
If she is talking about gun rights, then SHE must believe that only criminals should have guns.

Pleading her husband’s case, she told caucus goers that Edwards could survive the Republican attack machine: "We have to have a candidate who stands up, can take the punches and give it back to them."
More emotionalism...evil bad Republicans are rotten to the core and they will be mean to the Democratic candidate. No, no...the Democrat will never, ever say anything negative about the Republican...atleast not until 2 minutes into his acceptance speech. And "your husband" is a sissy boy who sends his wife out to do the dirty work because you had cancer and you think people will be scared to say anything....period.

Frankly you guys are becoming evil to the core and far more scary with what you are doing to our country than any terrorist I can think of.

"Frankly you guys are becoming evil to the core"

The socialists in this country think Jason Bowden is more of a threat than Osama bin Laden. This kind of raw paranoia and unreason is astounding.

Joseph Epstein put it best.

"Disagree with someone on the right and he is likely to think you obtuse, wrong, foolish, a dope. Disagree with someone on the left and he is more likely to think you selfish, a sell-out, insensitive, and possibly evil."

Perhaps you're comfortable with the Party of God (the Hezb'Allah) having nuclear weapons. I'm not. You may hate America enough to desire her cities to be incinerated. I love America, and believe we should move heaven and Earth to prevent that future.

Why do you think a center-right Republican like myself is as or more dangerous than the Party of God, anyway? What have *I* ever done to people like you and Ron?

you see why people who make such dumb comments don't want anyone to know who they are...
And anon's comments show why we can't let a liberal in the white house, they don't understand the world around them.

I'm waving bye-bye to Ron, the emotional crybaby.

Hey, anon, head-in-the-sand liberals like yourself died in the twin towers from a bunch of a-rabs who came over here.

More scary than terrorists???C'mon
Ron....trust me...you'll need to worry more about what will be allowed to go on in this country if
the horrid one somehow manages to persuade enough "voters" to put bozo Bill and her back in Washington....

jh, who said you were more dangerous than "the party of god?" i didn't. i simply tossed the "scared" bullshit back in your faces.

"You may hate America enough to desire her cities to be incinerated." what a bullshit statement!

i'd rather iran not have nuclear weapons. i'd rather the commies didn't have them back in the 50's and 60's either, but they did and america dealt with it. and we're still here.

i'd rather iran not have nuclear weapons, but i'd rather we deal with it if necessary than destroy what's left of our military, our reputation around the world, and our chance of bringing the moderates in that country into power.

game, i understand the world perfectly well, better than you, I'm sure.

and i choose to be anonymous for very good reasons. or are you going to ban "anonymous" from your site, too?

I sure could do that...when does anyone named "anon" saying anything of importance?

The Soviet Union never sent its people on suicide missions to kill thousands of Americans, as what happened on September 11th, 2001.

The Iranian leadership consists of a bunch of David Koresh-style fanatics. Mutually assured destruction is their goal. We're not dealing with materialist, atheist do-gooders in this country. *That* is the difference many aren't understanding.

I wouldn't resort to war as a first option, but it definitely needs to be used as the last resort. If a group like the Party of God gets a nuclear weapon, they will definitely use it.

The left is scared of the right for the fact that the left doesn't approve of absolutes. They want to determine "their own truth", as if that's in any way a mature and responsible viewpoint. There is only truth, not "my truth", and coming to terms with that means giving up behaviors and positions that are self-gratifying, and often at the expense of others.

They are scared of having to be responsible for their actions, of putting aside their selfishness for a higher purpose. For example, they want to tax sugary soft drinks rather than nag parents to be responsible for what their kids are doing. It's often hard to do the right thing. And as we all know, when the going gets tough, the left pretends the problem doesn't exist.

For anon,

I'd rather have the reputation of doing what I think is right despite the objections of left-wing whiners, than to court their friendship at the expense of risking security or the build-up of Islamofascist power.
