Edwards Calls for Quick Pullout of Troops Training Iraqi Forces

I still believe he will be the Democratic nominee for President, and this is exactly why he needs to be defeated.
They all do.
We can not let people who get it wrong every single time be incharge when there is something so important at stake.
You think things are bad in Iraq now (and to the displeasure of Democrats right now they are much better), wait until we run away.
Iraq will become Iran, and the Arab world will have a new sense of power over us...the same power they gained while attacking us for the 8 years before 9-11.
I hope to God that the American people look at stories like these and see why they can not mess around with their vote.
THIS is the issue of our time.
No one is changing gay marriage in the next 10 years.
No one is going to do anything about illegals probably EVER...
No one is banning abortion right now either...
Both parties tax the crap out of us, Dems just do it more...
But on this issue there is a clear difference...

"We can not let people who get it wrong every single time be in charge"

sure, because this administration has gotten every single thing right in the last seven years.

no...didn't say that...
No one does...
But when it comes to the nature of human beings, liberals always get it wrong...
Vietnam...good job there...
Welfare...you created entire groups of people who lost the will to be productive or do anything positive because someone else it taking care of them and telling them their failures are not their fault...
Projects...well done there too...
Iraq...you wanted to pull out already, I know you didn't learn from Vietnam, and that is why you can't be put in charge...

Don't worry about anyone who will not take credit for there remarks. Most of the time they will just say something stupid like:

(sure, because this administration has gotten every single thing right in the last seven years.)

then they will be gone never to return. If they do return, I doubt they will have the guts or intelligence to engage in a true discussion about issues anyway.

I agree with your post. Good job.

jb: kettle meet pot.

there is a lot of excellent debate, opinion, and facts coming from those of us who chose to be anonymous here. the reason for using anonymous is it makes it just a little bit harder for game and others who come here to be downright nasty to those who disagree with them. the attackers here use more ad hominem attacks than they do reasonable arguments backed by facts.

they can't just disagree, they have to call you names and impugn your intelligence. it dehumanizes their "opponents" and elevates their own stature among themselves.

it's not that game really dislikes the "anon" thing. as you can see over the recent history, there is little if anything that could be considered objectionable posted by any anonymous. without a name, game doesn't ban it outright.

but since the anons mostly disagree with him, it makes him feel uncomfortable since he doesn't have a name to direct personal attacks at.

wow, you figured it out...
To a crazy person crazy, ignorant comments do seem intelligent...
How are other readers supposed to know who they are talking to?
Also, I have no problem insulting you since you seem to know who "anon" is...
If an "anon" ever made a good point, I would say so...sometimes calling a moron a moron is necessary...and a statement like that is typically backed up with a large amount of fact and other statements...which you will ignore since you have to...

"ure, because this administration has gotten every single thing right in the last seven years."

Bush's economic record sets the bar pretty high for the Democrats and will be tough to beat. We'll see if the Democrats can beat 4.4% unemployment and 3.2% GDP growth when they seize all three branches of government and rule Jimmy Carter style.

As far as foreign policy is concerned, the Dems will take us back to the Clinton days of the Khobar Towers, the USS Cole, the 1993 WTC attack, and the bombing of our embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. I can forgive people who took a crime fighting approach to the terrorist war against us before 9-11. Those who want to have an Oprah-style therapy session with our enemies *after* 9-11 clearly don't have their heads on straight.

anon-a-fool,

The Edwards', here after called the Shyster, call for immediate pullout of all troops killed him in the Caucuses.

Anonymous said...

incorrect

edwards' numbers were quite respectable coming in second, and he endorses the most aggressive approach toward withdrawal

and hillary's hawkish, corporatist willingness to continue to allow american troops to die in a failed mission unquestionably led to her downfall in iowa, more than any other single factor

besides obama's bizarre rantings re pakistan last year, he nonetheless appears the most moderate in regards to middle east policy in general, and the failed occupation in iraq, in particular

it would seem that a sizable number of iowans that participated in the iowa caucus found obama's approach the best of a bad lot

another "anon" said, "the best of a bad lot".

but don't imply that only the dems's alternatives are a bad lot. there are no good alternatives here. there is only the least awful.

bush and cheney have gotten this country head first into one of the all-time dirty shit holes. there is no "good" alternative for getting out of it. shouldn't have gone in in the first place, but now we're there. why would anyone think that those who made this monumentally wrong decision (or those who agree with them) would make the best decisions about ANYTHING else including getting out?

"...corporatist willingness to continue to allow american troops to die in a failed mission..."

Which failed mission would that be? I don't encourage you to say that to any US soldier who's fighting there. Deaths alone, as tragic as they are, are no indication of success or failure. They are a part of war, however, and only an idiot would focus on them and ignore the advances that have been made, particularly since the surge.

"...he nonetheless appears the most moderate in regards to middle east policy in general, and the failed occupation in iraq, in particular."

He appears to be the least qualified to understand or impact events in the Middle East. He's says little of substance, but the left can't tell the difference.

"...found obama's approach the best of a bad lot."

Perhaps the least objectionable of a bad lot. Truly, he has excited quite a number of desperate but empty-headed liberals, but libs are often excited by such revolutionary pronouncements like "time for a change", as if that means anything. At some pointm, he'll have to answer for his record as an Illinois state senator. He'll not have to for his stint as a US senator, since he hasn't done anything but campaign since he got there.
