'Idol' tries to get its groove back

Last year, its talent slipped and its ratings fell for the first time. Now, America's favorite show aims to take advantage of a TV landscape diminished by the writers' strike.

This show is terrible. I think 4 former Idol "stars" just got fired from their contracts this week. Jordan Sparks is going nowhere, Taylor Hicks was just let go and never did anything, Rubin Studdard is done as well. Two out of five winners have done well, and one other is doing well. That's three people in 5 years.
Terrible show, makes my head hurt to watch it. The first few weeks are even worse, when we get to see idiots sing that can't and don't know it.

I think that show is a perfect example of where liberal ideology has taken us.

Liberals think that everyone is a star. People grow up hearing no criticism, so they have unrealistic ideas about their skills and abilities.
