SUPER TUES. 6 PM-1 AM ET
CNN 3,054,000
FOXNEWS 2,644,000
MSNBC 1,722,000
There is definately a trend here.
Fox kills everyone on a regular basis, EXCEPT during some sort of huge news story. When that happens CNN usually takes number one be a few hundred thousand.
Lets see if we can have an open and honest debate....why does this happen?

I don't know if you can generalize it so easily. There could be different reasons. For example, I too was watching CNN for the following reasons:
- MSNBC was too biased towards Obama and its anti-Romney views.
- Fox News as usual had 'conservative' bias!
- CNN was the only one with some honest reviews.
simple-
entertainment: Fox
news coverage you can trust: CNN
i have a theory, that i cannot quantify
we tend to go to msnbc for in-depth coverage from a source we believe we can RELATIVELY trust, and wingnuts do the same with fox
but, even though we ALL seem to criticize cnn at different times, we still turn to them for NEWS on important issues, because the cnn brand name is still inextricably linked to news, in our minds
cnn is like tide, dove soap, castrol, marlboro, jack daniels, harley-davidson, ford trucks, etc.
cnn is seen as "safe", and familiar, the ol' reliable, and there is an instinct to gravitate to it when the chips are down, simply because they are perceived as more "centrist"
i firmly believe most non-radicalized americans WANT to be fair toward one another, even in political argument, and they want to start off with the same "facts", an equal jumping-off point
cnn was the first, and came on the scene at a time in american history where we were not as partisan and ideologically divided, as we are now
and cnn is hip to this as well, because, if you notice, even today some of their graphics and styles of presentation retain vestiges of this founding heritage, whereas msnbc and fox are forever struggling to redefine themselves, trying to adapt to the changing winds of society
I don't trust the Clinton News Network and their overwhelming Liberal bias, if not Anti-American bias.
I agree.
Fox is much more entertaining to most people, so they win most of the time.
But the American people like what is familiar, so when they want the hard hitting big story news they still go to CNN.
I don't want to get into it about FOX or CNN not being fair, but I will admit that FOX sometimes lags behind CNN in breaking news coverage.
"overwhelming Liberal bias..." - PCD
haaha, Funny!! You are the on who worships Fox News as the 'fair and balanced'!! That's because you want to hear what you want to hear and Fox News is the perfect place for lib-haters!!
Same with MSNBC - it has a clear liberal bias. Keith Olbermann can forget the most important story of the day and pick on conservatives over silly things!!
CNN is far better than those two channels when it comes giving 'news' without mixing it with 'opinions'.
pcd would consider leni riefenstahl's work fair and balanced
3 millon viewers is not so many out of 300 million people. It is about half of what the lowest network has on their nightly news cast. You tell me they are the "liberal media" so I guess the "liberal media" wins.
Not even Rush trys to pass off "liberal media" anymore. Frankly the reason all the news channels have such a small audience is because most people aren't that interested. I think one thing we could all agree on is that's sad. That is reality though.
Since we surround ourselves with people that share our interests and values we tend to think that most people are that way. Big mistake many people on both sides make.
I like Olberman and he is definately liberal. I make no bones about it. Again it is about gravatating towards those that share your interests and values. Too bad you guys can't admit the same about Fox.
American,
KO does not profess to be centrist. He presents a point of view. That in itself does not demonstrate network bias.
See, that is where you make your mistake...
Liberals in the media do not admit to being liberal. They say they are moderate or right down the middle.
Fox NEWS shows both sides...but you get it mixed up with the Fox entertainment in primetime, which no one argues about. O'Reilly calls himself "independently" conservative, and Hannity is conservative, Colmes is liberal. No hiding, no deception.
