"and they get mad when we say people like Osama want dems in office"
Before we invaded Iraq, al Qaeda's two main "grievances" that were exploited to recruit were
1. American military bases in Saudi Arabia
2. Israel's presence in "Palestine"
Are you seeing a pattern here? Osama's main rhetorical tool to gain followers is exploiting the presence of "unbelievers" in holy Muslim territories.
The Iraq war was launched by falsely conflating Saddam with 9/11 and twisting intelligence to make the uninformed American public believe that he had WMD's (for example, claiming that the aluminium tubes that he purchased were suitable for uranium enrichment).
Meanwhile, McCain has cheered on every inept move the Bush administration has made.
"McCain has cheered on every inept move the Bush administration has made."
Democrats say Bush should have listened to Shinseki. If so, they logically must agree that Bush should have listened to John McCain.
For example, back in 2003, McCain stated
"When, in the course of days, we increase by thousands our estimate of the numbers of Iraqis trained, it sounds like somebody is cooking the books. Simply put, there does not appear to be a strategy behind our current force levels in Iraq, other than to preserve the illusion that we have sufficient forces in place to meet our objectives."
Al Qaeda's two main "grievances" and Osama's rhetorical tools are ploys to further their aims. They would be doing what they are doing whether we had a presence in the Middle East or not. You suffer from the delusion that it is possible to trust what they tell us beyond their desire to destroy us.
If we were to have removed our bases from Saudi Arabia, they would have an easier time building their strength to fight us. Israel left Gaza and their reward is that the missiles hit further inside their borders than before.
No one tied Saddam to 9/11 except libs trying to tell people Bush did so. It is a lie. Stop telling it. It is also lying to continually harp on WMDs as if that was the only reason to depose Saddam. THOSE are true examples of trying to shine on an uninformed public.
