I remember Wright on Hannity about a year ago. Hannity tried to get Wright to explain what the "black value system" taught by his (and Obama's) church meant. All Wright could do is attack Hannity for being unfamiliar with the greatness of writers like James Cone.
That doesn't help Wright's case, but like Obama, these militants like to obfuscate and dance around their convictions. Cone wrote that
"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."
Obama is an educated man and knows EXACTLY what he is supporting. I find it ironic Obama will lash out at people like Imus for "verbal violence," and then exposes his own children to the racism, profanity, and paranoia of his Church.
But that's modern liberalism for you.
