Why are Dem's afraid to let the voters decide...because when you give the voters a chance to voice what they think, they will shoot down the Dem's in huge numbers. Dems have to get everything done in the courts.
A photo ID would pass atleast 70-30, maybe more.
Don't forget, liberals know what is best. How can they get all that vote fraud done in November if you have to show an ID?
Don't worry Dems, you will still be able to cheat in the next election.

this continues to be a bogus issue. the incidence of provable voter fraud is so low, they had to fire 9 or 10 US attorney's who couldn't prove any cases.
bogus. just bogus.
it's election fraud, by the republicans, that continues to be the real problem
the photo id bit is a smokescreen, and actually a prelude to institution of the amero, and the north american union, as our dollar collapses
"this continues to be a bogus issue."
Yet, a far, far lefty blogger, of which Blamin is familiar, and used to go by the moniker "CLB" spends an inordinate amount of time dealing with voter fraud issues. Of course she's under the mistaken idea that it's the right-wing against whom we need to guard. Of course those of us from Chicago are well aware of Democratic shenanigans at election time.
It is not a fraud. Democrats just like fraud because it gives them elections. Shame on you Democrat Senators. I called Carpenter and I got the regular diatribe. Please Senators, don't insult our intelligence.
I just don't understand why nyone would be against stopping voter's fraud! I just don't care which party you are - we all need to suport any scam or fraud taking place during elections.ng wrong in presenting your photo ID bfore voting.
I've heard it said (not by anyone who would know for certain) that there never has been a case where someone not having an ID was involved in fraudulent voting, so that ID's would be meaningless and only restrictive to a certain segment of the voting population. If we concede that this is true, it still wouldn't mean that ID's aren't a good idea. In theory, I don't care if someone prefers to carry no identification, but that person shouldn't be allowed to vote without identify himself at the polling place. And BTW, the notion that it would be too inconvenient or expensive for everyone to get a state ID card in lieu of a driver's license is crap. Buy a few less six-packs and it's more than doable. Work a couple of hours overtime and it's doable. Take your duties as a US citizen seriously and it's doable.
i identify myself at my polling place with a signature that's matched against the one on my registration. that's the way we do it in california and nobody around here worries about voter fraud. much more worried about election fraud, as should we all.
ok,
voter fraud = when someone votes who is ineligible to vote. examples: a 17 year-old attempts to vote, a person attempts to vote twice, a convicted felon votes when his voting rights have not been restored, a person votes using someone else's name.
election fraud = when someone or a group of people rig the system with the goal of affecting the outcome of an election. examples: caging, messing with the software code in voting machines, destroying ballots so they can't be examined or recounted, distributing voting machines in such a way that one candidate has an advantage over another.
As much as the Democrats scream here, it is the Democrats that have been documented being the defrauders.
pcdummy, please show us your "documentation."
