Anyone who has followed this piece of human garbage has know for years he is a terrible, horrible human being.
He spent years destroying company after company, finding loopholes in the law to bring down corporations to look good to the socialist Democrats so he could be elected governor.
He took down a very successful mutual fund company here in Wisconsin costing hundreds of jobs and cost investors millions if not billions.
Let's see, slime ball trial lawyer, going after the people who keep our economy going and create jobs, praised by liberals, and now we finally see what an asshole he is...

the level of outrage is higher because spitzer was an big time asshole even before this...so far any republicans who have gotten caught I didn't know anything about, so they got a some but not total outrage

Actually, it was Strong who cost the investors millions, not Spitzer:
Early on in the mutual funds scandal, Spitzer held out Strong Capital chairman Richard Strong as malfeasance "exhibit A" --the worst of the market-timing offenders. Strong had market-timed the very mutual funds he managed, imposing extra costs on the firm's small investors, who were told such rapid trading wouldn't be tolerated. Spitzer's investigation revealed that Strong had pocketed $1.8 million personally, making as many as 500 redemptions from his firm's funds in a single year.
As it turns out, people accused Spitzer of letting Strong off easy by fining him rather than throwing him in jail.

he made his bones prosecuting the very sort of organized crime rings he chose to patronize, and there is no way in hell he could not have known what exactly that encompasses

In the past I have listed all the liberals who have been caught in scandal and not resigned, because Democrats obviously don't care about those things.
You can only list one.
So far this story proves my point...as does every single story of a Democrat getting caught having sex in the oval office, stealing money and hiding it in the freezer, getting caught doing drugs over and over, getting caught in other sex acts and getting re-elected 8 more times...
You can't find that on the Right...it doesn't happen. Conservatives will not stand for such behavior, so the person either quits right away or doensn't seek another term. They know they couldn't win...

The only person I know on that list is Duncan Hunter, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't done anything...or if these guys "did something" it is the made up stuff like in the case of Trent Lott

i'm not defending him. i want to know the full story first.

Mark Foley, Jack Ryan, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Jack W. Garner, Mark Foley, John Bolton, Harvey Pitt, Joe Scarborough, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keith Westmoreland, David Vitter. All are republicans that had sex scandals as bad as or worse than Spizer. Most have gone on to have careers in the Republican party after their sex scandals.
David Vitter returned to a standing ovation in DC from his republican colleagues after crawling away in shame after his prostitute escapades were exposed.

I didn't say he wasn't. I was pointing out to the Game that, in fact, Dick Strong and his company broke the law and bilked customers out of tens of millions of dollars.
The irony of all this is that Spitzer may well go to prison for engaging in consensual (though illegal) sex while Dick Strong never spent a day behind bars.
Now, you know why I asked this blogger if he would be honest in denouncing the same level of personalities from Republican party. Look, how he is dodging the question....
The way I remember reading it, Spitzer manipulated some law on trading that wasn't seen as a big deal. Whatever they were doing made his investors money...I'm not saying I am 100 percent positive on that, but at the time it seemed like he was going after Strong as another notch in his belt, costing hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars.

Memory is a marvelously fungible tool which, when you give up on the truth, can make a marvelous crutch.
Fact is, Strong and his managers were making multiple trades (incurring a fee every single time!) that were specifically prohibited by the mutual find contracts. The traders pocketed the fees and investors were none the wiser. Strong robbed his customers, period. Should he be allowed to get away with it? If he thought he was perfectly innocent, why did he plea?
