Obama isn't about change...it's business as usual

I'm not saying Obama is more misleading and dirty than anyone else, but when to constantly pull out your "it's politics as usual...I'm not going to play Washington politics" card, you shouldn't do doing all this stuff...in the last week:

Obama's ad claims, "Clinton's taken more from big oil and other PACs and lobbyists than any other candidate, Democrat or Republican." Actually, Clinton is fourth and Obama is a close fifth when it comes to donations from oil and gas industries.

Obama's ad says it is he who is "demanding higher gas mileage standards." Actually, both candidates voted for last year's increase in those standards and both candidates propose further increases in the future. Clinton's proposed increase is a bit higher than Obama's, in fact.

Obama's ad talks of "gas prices close to four dollars a gallon" in Pennsylvania. Actually, the statewide average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.32, according to the American Automobile Association.

Obama said, "I have never said that I don't wear flag pins or refuse to wear flag pins." Actually, he did. He said last year, "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest" because it had become "a substitute for ... true patriotism" during the run-up to the Iraq war. I highlight this one because liberals like to SAY this one is not true...wishing that just saying it MAKES it true.

Obama denied his handwriting appeared on an old questionnaire that said he supported a ban on possessing a handgun, and he said he has never taken that position. Actually, his writing does appear on one of two versions of the questionnaire.

An Obama TV ad claimed his plan would save families more money than Clinton's, but one independent expert sees "zero credible evidence" that either plan would produce the kind of savings the campaigns claim.

Obama’s response correctly points out that Clinton has accepted more money from PACs and lobbyists for her presidential effort than any other candidate of either party. But then he goes on to accuse her of "eleventh hour smears, paid for by lobbyist money." In fact, only about 1 percent of all Clinton's funds have come from PACs or from current or former lobbyists, making the claim that her ads are financed by "lobbyist money" about 99 percent untrue.

So if you are going to be the candidate of "change" then you need to stop being as dirty as all the rest. And thanks media for not pointing it out.

A gun owner voting for Hussein is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

Patriotism is one of those silly EMOTIONAL issues. That is all it is... I could care less about patriotism. Do the right thing, hold to our founding principals. That is my description of patriotism.
