Pelosi Attacks Bush, Praises Clinton Surplus Prior to Vote on Bailout

$700 billion a staggering number but only a part of the cost of the failed Bush economic policies to our country."

What the hell is wrong with her?
Again, just say anything, no matter how empty and partisan, just spit out the same tired old crap all the time.
I do agree Bush was pushing for people to have home loans that didn't deserve them, in that he was joining along with the DEMOCRATS...THEY push for "equity" in every aspect of life. Well, now you got it...now you see what happens when you give boat loads of loans to everyone. Maybe banks had a reason to deny who they decided to deny.

And what specific Bush policy created this problem. Bush inherited a recession from Bill Clinton. anyone who can't even admit that is so partisan, so brain dead you should really think about getting professional help. For the few liberals who can continue to read on, Bush got us out of a Democratic recession and a major terror attack. I really don't see that as a failed economic policy.
His two mistakes were to not fight for drilling earlier and to push for all these loans. So basically, his two main mistakes were when he thought like a Democrat.

I just heard that majority of republicans voted against the plan while majority of the democrats for it. We are living in such an interesting time - never seen parties devided so much. Especially the republicans and President are so far apart from each other.....

Ya, you'd think by now, Bush would know better than to go along with the Democrats.

Well, not just Bush....remember 33% of republicans also went along with it.

I'm glad that there are still people out there who don't mind taking an independent view, even if it means breaking away from party and president.

game, what clinton actually left bush was a solid economy and a hefty budget surface

and, now, thanks to bush, we have...the exact OPPOSITE!

the republicans were right today, for resisting this ridiculous bailout, that will solve nothing, and, like bush's presidency, set us up for an even more intractable world of hurt

but let's not be too happy about it all, until we get through tomorrow, after the market tanks again, God forbid

do not forget the role that preferential "loans" targeted to blacks and illegals played in the destruction of your earning power, and how obama would just be the third term of bush, despite the wails of "mcancient" from those thrilled at the prospect of a completely decimated american economy and sovereign currency, not to mention the the wily, covert "paleoliberals"
