Remember back in 1992 when Bill Clinton didn't deliver on his middle class tax cuts...
Atleast he waited to screw you...Obama and Biden are already admitting they are going to screw just about anyone who makes any money.
Hey, I have to give it to them for being honest. If you vote for them it is your fault. They are not lying, they admit they are going raise taxes and most likely cause a recession. They have admitted they are for taking from the successful and giving to those who chose not to take care of themselves.
It's all there for you...if you vote for them don't complain when your check goes down (it will for EVERYONE when the Bush tax cuts are taken away) and you don't have any check cause you lose your job...oh, and if you have a 401K don't complain when the liberal government takes that away from you too...its going to happen...

Earth to Game: the recession is on. Or maybe a depression? And try as you like, you won't be able to pin it on Joe the Senator or your boy Barry.
Rather, it's just another in a long line of screw ups brought to you by Incurious George the Brush Cutter.
You forgot to mention that they will come for your first born.
Hysteria over ‘tax’ and ‘socialist/communist’ thing is really getting out of hand!! At least, it’s better than ‘terrorist’/ ‘birth certificate’ talk by the same crazy right!
By the way, didn’t we have republicans in charge from 2000 to 2006(Senate) and a republican president at Whitehouse from 2000 to 2008? Did republican base forget all of it? The lack of honesty and hysteria from the ‘loyalist’ group is going to be the biggest hurdle for John McCain. Unfortunately, he has to keep his party base happy, compromising on his ‘maverick’/ 'moderate'/'american' side! And, it’s not looking good. After all, he is no Palin (Gun, God, Hunting, drilling)! :)
McCain looks desperate because he calls Obama a decent and honorable man, and then implies that he's a socialist. Most Americans sense the dissonance-- if someone is a socialist, they are not decent and honorable. Since Obama is honorable, that must mean he's not a socialist, even though he wants to have the State regulate, tax, and nationalize everything. He's a free marketer just like everyone else y'see.
Good news is that the economy is fundamentally sound-- if there is a recession, it won't last longer than a year. My fear is that Obama will dig us into a hole, blame Bush, and then continue to dig, the same way Comrade Roosevelt did in the 30s, blaming all of his problems on greed, on speculation, on Hoover, on the lack of sacrifice, etc.
If someone is a socialist they are not decent and honorable????? What the @uck are you talking about!!! Not only that you are describing Communists and talking about Socialists. Maybe there is no difference in your mind but methinks that the communist thing is worn and thread bare and it has been changed to socialist for purely semantic purposes.
It will be enlightening to many I am sure to see that decent and honorable is directly connected and determined by a persons political position.
The problem is not the republicans, democrats, liberals or conservatives. The problem is we keep fighting each other with opposition for the sake of opposition. If we the people would decide on our top priorities and then push as a UNITED States to get it done you could see the States as intended by all of us. A powerful, dynamic, innovative, functioning democracy(republic). You guys would rather oppose everything somebody else says to prove what "independent" people or thinkers you are. Fortunately you will soon be relegated to the circus seating you deserve.
American, you have a grip on the reality of the situation.
The lack of honesty and hysteria from the ‘loyalist’ group is going to be the biggest hurdle for John McCain.
It is killing him. You can follow it along in the polls. I hope the Republican party can reinvent themselve because the have a number of tenets that I can work with and I am disappointed in the Democrats. I will continue to be disappointed unless it is the "loyalists" nightmare...not likely in my book. I don't want to argue. I want to fix it! I wish I could find someone who wanted to talk about that stuff.
"Remember back in 1992 when Bill Clinton didn't deliver on his middle class tax cuts..."
game, actually I don't, and, unless you were a CEO at a giant multinational corporation, i suspect you don't either...
we should BE so lucky to just have the problems clinton left us with at this juncture, so please don't go there, we are not teenagers with short memories

"If someone is a socialist they are not decent and honorable?????"
Yup. No ideology has caused more suffering in the history of man than socialism. Most American socialists today refuse to admit in public that they are socialists because deep down they know socialism is inhuman and evil.
If someone was for socialism, after all, then they would be for something definite, materialist, true, absolute, and clear. In a sense, the new evasive socialists are more honest-- they want everyone to fade away into nothingness like the Buddha. The older socialists desired universal immolation too, but pretended that they were for scientifically improving the lot of mankind. The new socialists do not have these illusions-- they truly worship the mystical common good, not the earthly individual good.
Well Jason you seem convinced. We will have to definitely agree to disagree most adamantly on this. You are directly linking spiritual matters to someones standing on politics. Yes it is certainly a factor and maybe a big one. It is for me...and the evangelicals with whom I also disagree adamantly. The fact is it is not the sole factor I judge people on. You talk about individuality as primary and then condemn groups instead of investigating the individual in them. You treat them as groups and not individuals when the individual is supposedly at your core of beliefs. You counterdict yourself in one short paragraph. You need some grownin up son. Please don't be insulted by that. Life is a growth process,I'm still doing it myself, but you make it clear you are early in the process.
Those that would support a dictator or Aristocracy would be farther down my list than a supporter of Socialism. I also wildly disagree with your "mystical common good" and "earthly individual good". Only a Randian could believe such horrors. No religious or spiritual movement would cast off caring for others or sacrifice of individual for common good. It's the stuff heros are made of unless you are in some Ayn Rand cult.
"No religious or spiritual movement would cast off caring for others or sacrifice of individual for common good."
I agree. That's why I'm not religious. Unlike the Aztecs, and the Indians who practiced Sati, and the Spanish Inquisition, and the modern socialists -- I do not believe in human sacrifice. The Enlightenment *is* revolutionary; socialism has always been reactionary, an attempt to recreate the status society to replace the evil greedy contract society. The commercial spirit throughout history has always been treated with contempt.
BTW, I would read Karl Popper, Alexander Herzen, David Hume, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Constant, Alexis de Tocqueville, and Immanuel Kant before I would read a mediocre writer like Rand.
All action is reaction, expansion/contraction.
I agree. That's why I'm not religious.
Well, that puts you in the overwhelming minority in this country, the party you adhere to and the world. I'm not religous either but I do believe in a high power and guiding principals of humanity. I am a somewhat a deist in the spirit of Thomas Paine and Jefferson. The Age Of Reason is a great document in my mind. You appear to be coreless in that area.
I give you credit for your statement on Rand although mediocre is a bit generous.
