Some of the great things Palin has been saying lately

She then slammed Barack Obama calling him disqualified to be President of the United States, “Some of his comments that he has made about the war that I think may — in my world– disqualifies someone from consideration as the next commander in chief.” Palin said, “Some of his comments about Afghanistan and what we are doing there supposedly– just air raiding villages and killing civilians. That’s reckless. So I wanted to talk about things like that. So I guess I have to apologize about being a little annoyed, but that is also an indication of being outside that Washington elite and being outside the media elite also and just wanting to talk and just wanting to talk to Americans without the filter and let them know what we stand for.”

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of his association with a former 1960s radical, stepping up the campaign's effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.

Palin told a group of donors at a private airport, "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." She also said, "This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America."

this is really tired, old stuff. you can read all about the obama-ayers history here.

meanwhile, mccain has a long-time association with his buddy g. gordon liddy, a convicted criminal (unlike ayers) who held fundraisers for mccain in his own home and who advised the branch davidians, "If the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms insists upon a firefight, give them a firefight. Just remember, they're wearing flak jackets and you're better off shooting for the head."

obviously with voters unpersuaded by mccain's "policies" or lack thereof, you have nothing left but smears. here they come!

"Some of his comments about Afghanistan and what we are doing there supposedly– just air raiding villages and killing civilians."

This shows either that Palin either cannot comprehend and minimally complex concept, or she only knows how to spout crap fed to her from her handlers.

What Obama was saying is that the goals in Afghanistan cannot be met with air power alone. More boots on the ground are needed. If you rely solely on air strikes, you are going to kill more civilians with less success than with on the ground military operations.

This is a basic error in McCain's and the neo-con's philosophy. They believe America's superior military strength and technology can accomplish anything, anywhere, any time. The last seven years have demonstrated the weakness of this argument.

blowing up govt buildings and being sad you didn't blow up more is much worse than anything g. gordon liddy ever did...

ayers WAS a bad dude 35 years ago although you are misrepresenting what he said. obama has only passing association with ayers. ayers is not obama's friend, ayers is not obama's partner, ayers is not obama's spritual mentor, ayers is not obama's advisor, ayers is not obama's role model.

this smear is not going to work. people have heard it all before. it didn't win for hillary and it won't win for you.

No Anon,

Obama has much more than a “passing association with Ayers”.

The rest of your post is also BS. I would adress you by your handle, but you're to much of a chicken shit to leave one.

You know what, if Obama joined a group that had a terrorist in it and he got out within a reasonable time, I would understand that. But here is another case of Obama not seeing anything wrong with a guy like that. Just like he didn't see anything wrong with his pastor being a complete racist...To someone like Obama, that kind of terrorism is fine because its against the evil United States and that kind of racism isn't racism

what terrorist group was obama ever a member of?

the anti-poverty group Woods Fund of Chicago?

"The rest of your post is also BS."

in what respect, charlie?

anon, your idea of a freedom fighter is the terrorist bombing my subway train tomorrow

and i'd presume pcdummy is quite busy, paying back the money he stole, before it is too late

if you cannot reconcile the idea of ayers, the unrepentant terrorist, with ayers, obama's longtime colleague, you're incapable of contributing anything lucid or believable to this or any discussion

at that point, YOU become a greater danger, than all of the rest of them combined

really? wow!

uf you are white, earn over fifty thousand a year, and are still voting for a spiritual leader rather than a presidential one, you need to step outside the cult for a moment and remain open to opposing views, because you've obviously been fed misinformation, and that might not be in your best interests

it's not like the barkster doesn't have enough dead bodies to register and vote for him, y'know
