Church teaches public school boys about Islam, Judaism

ummm...I understand that Separation of Church and State is actually about our government punishing people for NOT being the religion they choose, but this seems like an obvious violation of the modern interpretation.

How so? Learning about religious groups and their belief system is part of any healthy education.

I personally agree, but some people see sep of church and state to mean NO religion in ANY public institution...public school being one of them

"some people"? who? oh, right, the aclu, righ? except all they want is that one religion is not favored over any other or no religion.

"Gettinger's primer on Judaism is part of a series of programs at Trinity Presbyterian Church"

The church is not part of 'state'.

I am fine with the instruction/education on religious practices if all are included and no particular theology is PRACTICED.

it seems to me like they are in direct contact with the Public School...maybe i am wrong there...but if they go to the public school and work with admin to get this program implimented, then it crosses the line...for some.
