It seems as though we are headed to a place where personal responsibility is dead.
Working hard will not matter and actually be punished
the free-loaders will vote in more and more of what they want until our economy and culture collapse just like it has in every other socialist country.
I might make it through with only minor scars, I don't see how my son is going to grow up and not be burdened to take care of all the losers who can not take care of themselves, people created by the govt and socialism.
It's a sad sad day for America....the handouts, the free loaders, the people who can't see past the flashy words and the promise that all your dreams will come true...those people won.

i feel sorry for you if that is what you think of the future. you must feel even worse than i did 4 years ago.
but i'm happy for your son who will see a better future because of what happened today.
at long last our national night mare is nearly over.
it sucks there are people like you that don't understand much...people like me just have to keep getting punished because of it..
Must be hard to be clueless..or for
that matter...anonymous..no imagine in that...
Scorpion - you're as anonymous as the rest of us. Give it a rest.
Game, I'll light a candle at Mass for you. If it's any consolation, the next president can't do any worse than the current one. It's time to put aside the petty squabbling that the Clinton-Bush era brought upon us, and fix the mess we're in. The finger pointing will get us nowhere.
Why do you hate America, Game? The people have spoken. They have chosen to redistribute wealth to the middle and lower classes, and to end the rampant redistribution of wealth to the wealthiest 1% that we've seen for the last 8 years.
Game, I am just as sad as you. Where is all the money going to come from? Obama will be led by Pelosi and if they aren't careful, we will be back in 2010. 57 million people voted against Obama and we won't be silent. Too bad, the unborn, our paychecks, our culture, our morals, will have to suffer in the meantime.
Game, we need to keep on telling our children that our values are still the same at home. In the meantime, I am reading Reagan's speeches to get me through the day.
Reagan, that big spending socialist, had a top tax rate of 50%, compared to the conservative Obama, who wants to set it at 39.6%.
Under the administration of that free-market hating commie socialist, the federal deficit expanded from 2.6% of GNP to 5.3% in 1986 , adding over $1 trillion to the deficit. Even worse, this growth took place not during a period of economic prosperity. Instead of reducing the debt, however, he mortgaged our children's future to pay for his social engineering programs.
uh, that should be Even worse, this growth took place during a period of economic prosperity.
Time to get behind the new leader and act like an 'American'. It is George Bush and his team that failed McCain.
No bad feelings. I supported McCain. Elections are over and I will support America.
"Country first", not party.
GIVE IT A REST...sure..my pic.was on this "RIGHT ON" site back to the first time there was a post....
no anonymous in that..your point
about supporting America is absolutely right..all the needed majorities are in place...we'll see how America is supported the next four years...no imagine in that either...
"In the meantime, I am reading Reagan's speeches to get me through the day."
footballmom, this is another strategic mistake on your part
for, the republican party has lost its way, and conservatism really is a failed ideology, look at the laissez-faire attitude of conservatives toward illegal immigration, jailing of border guards, bailouts, etc.
reagan-era conservatism is not up to these challenges, although the basic tenets still exist, and are for the most part have value
it's up to you to create a new platform, a new paradigm, for the total decay we are all faced with
only then, will today's version of extreme liberalism fall, as well
football mom, instead of longing for the days of Reagan socialism, you should be looking forward to the administration of a TRUE conservative, Barack Obama
please, he's not even an american
unAmerican - the favorite slur of the facist
Game, I have no words to tell you how completely tired and fed up with you calling me and mine, lazy, won't help ourselves, welfare bums. Everytime you bring up this load of goat vomit I realize more and more you have no grip on anything but rhetoric. The real world I see has nothing to do with your cartoon world. Where are these vast numbers of people like this? I don't see them and I have lived all over the country. I see hard working people struggling to make a living because people who have more than they could ever use want more so they pay themselves more and everybody else less. THAT is the real transfer of wealth.
Your childish view of the world with all its divison and hate is truly disgusting and quite insulting to me as a person with less. Your elitist mentality while at the same time railing against elitism is like slapping yourself in the face and pretending like you are slapping someone else. You are only hurting yourself in the long run. I'm glad for you that life is good and providence has shined on you. I'm sad for you that you make absolutely no attempt whatsoever to examine the real challenges that lie behind the rhetoric for others. Bad Karma is yours and this election may be the start.
might i suggest madagascar to you, ron, so you can begin with a clean slate?
Exile the opposition - A favorite tactic of the facist...
You should be glad that we elected a Democrat. Democrats are MUCH better for the economy. Anyone who is not a blind partisan knows this.
You have been blinded by propaganda, which is why you will be about as willing to accept the data shown below as Pope Paul V was to believe that the earth is not the center of the Universe.

In addition, the biggest budget deficits occured under Republicans, and over the last 42 years, the Federal budget has been balanced 5 times, always under Democrats.
Please don't rely on WorldNetDaily, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News for your worldview. The data is out there. Do the research yourself, and you can have the peace of mind that comes with having an accurate mental representation of reality.
GOP makes a good permanent opposition party. As for actually governing...not so much.
Hash I would respond but your comment is a non sequitur.
Anon-you are right on the money. They make a great opposition party because they turn over every pebble but when it comes to governing...horrible failures.
First for Ron...I live in it...I see it every single day...I have to drive from my nice neighborhood through the ghetto to teach in the ghetto.
80% or more of the kids in my HS read at a 4th grade or lower reading level...They have NO work ethic, they have no idea what they SHOULD be doing to better themselves...so I don't know where you have been living, but I see it first hand every day. No cartoon world, but I'm sad to say it is reality.
Yes Game it does exist. I feel bad for you that you have to bed surrounded by it every day. I understand if you happen to work their everyday that you would find frustration. Take a breath and get the big picture though. Look at the rest of your city and state. Travel a little and get to know the country. I have. That's where I have been living. In a number of states and a number of cities all over the country. Lazy is one of the smallest problems I see in this country. The vastly overwhelming population rich or poor are people that get up and go to work everyday(or at least want to)and to the best they can for themselves and their families. Theres all kinds in the world, that's what makes it go round. Please don't use a small group that you are subjected to everyday as a picture of our Country.
Game, here's a good idea for a post. You say these kids don't even know what they SHOULD be doing to better themselves. I don't doubt you on that. What things can we do to change that? How do we teach and change attitudes. As a trained teacher I would love to see a post on that with your thoughts.
I think I have covered what I think needs to be done many times...don't have time for that again right now. The gym closes in 90 minutes..maybe later...
But I really do hope you are right and most of the people that get govt assistance are temporary and just need a boost...that is what it should be for...
From my angle, it looks like there are more and more people reliant on the govt and are actually becoming more and more helpless...
