CNN Meteorologist: Manmade Global Warming Theory 'Arrogant'

Nice to see some common sense coming out of CNN...
How long until he gets the horse head in his bed?

ok, so this guy says, "You know, to think that we could affect weather all that much is pretty arrogant. Mother Nature is so big, the world is so big, the oceans are so big." and then in the very next breath he says, "I think we’re going to die from a lack of fresh water or we’re going to die from ocean acidification before we die from global warming, for sure"

So how does the earth run out of fresh water or the ocean become acidified?

1s2 2s2 2p3. why?

as long as both sides of the debate are clearly represented in the public square, who cares, for now?

my impression has been the main beef that extremist wingnuts had was that their side of the story was not receiving equal representation in the media....it would seem that, now, they are

but, if you turn around and try to muscle your version of the "facts" down everyone's throat before the necessary research is completed, you're just as guilty as gore's budding little crime family

"why?"

Exactly.

of course.

Ok, lets try it this way...oh those global warming fear mongers. I'm with you. Who knows whos science is right.
Now....

What do we do to have an enviroment that is clean and an asset to our children/ What do we do to get to sustainable energy that will make us a thriving growing nation.

Global warming and the debate on both sides is a red herring that takes you off the path of doing anything worthwhile. And you bought it hook line and sinker. This whole debate is a sheeple deal if I ever saw one.

Agree with Hash. Let facts/scientists/scholars figure out what's going on. After all, it's science. I hope those Global Warming folks are wrong! I was also hoping that fears on recession was wrong. I was hoping that those opposed Iraq war (WMD) were wrong too.

We need to keep an open mind on this issue.

Yes, an open mind.

For sure...we have to look at the facts, take it all in and make good decisions...
some on the Left treat this issue like religion...there is no debate, case is closed with them

"Some on the Left treat this issue like religion" - Game.

It's wrong whoever does it. At the same time, opposing an idea because it's coming from left or right is also wrong.

Even in Science, it takes time to get complete clarity and define theory. Meanwhile, if there are good things coming out of it (such as more push for environment friendly activities, electric/hybrid cars etc), let them continue. It's better for our health, society and planet.

Lets try this again...what are we going to do about making sure we have a clean abundant enviroment for our children and getting off oil and on to sustainable energy. Any dummie can find a problem, it takes a lot more to fix it. Fix SOMETHING for Gods(literally) sake!

the only correlation between climate change theories and "getting off oil", a completely ridiculous concept, exists only as a device of your own common avarice, ron

the fact that al gore has managed to spin his latest fashions in moneychanging schemes and sell it to sheep in a pasture by yoking it to our dangerous dependence on foreign nations for oil, is what has gotten us into this foolhardy position in the first place

for, in chaos, they can steal

the key to a "sustainable" future, imho, is to develop ALL sources of energy, whether it be "green", new technologies that are renewable, yet so far inpractical for america's needs, nuclear power, and oil, of which we have an infinite abundance

it is not my fault both extreme-left enviroweenies, with a hardon for misery and hardship, have been outspoken, to the point of sheer belligerence after buying into the lies of globalist oil thieves WORLDWIDE, into completely discrediting the conservation movement among moderate thinkers

i did not ask for the radical right to be presented with yet ANOTHER wedge issue, where they could turn YOUR authoritarian stridency against sane energy policy as a whole

so, ron, please stop stamping your feet like a petulant child denied your barnum's animal crackers, for the solutions to your dire worries are in the WORKS, as long as there's still a shekel or two to be made off them

there is more than enough bounty for all of earth's blessed inhabitants to be warm, and just because you, me, and the lamppost haven't figured out the details doesn't mean it will not happen

you cannot continue to have faith in NOTHING, incredible strides are being made every day

it's very simple, so get it right, advances in new energy sources, nuclear power, and vastly expanded domestic oil drilling will greatly alleviate economic pressures and environmental depletion, as well as dramatically reducing unnecessary, bloody conflicts outside our sovereign nation's borders.....in other words, all will be well in our world, if we go about this correctly

now, for God's sake, please stay away from my washing machine :)

Hash, you dumbkof...can't you understand English? I am not and have not argued anybody's point about global warming!!!! My point is getting off oil and an abundant future IS a completely separate issue. How stupid do you have to be to not get my point!? With this stupid post you have equaled PCD for pure blather.

Now I see your problem. You don't even understand what someone is saying when they make it plain. How can you possibly make a cognizant point(although I have seen you make one now and then)when you address something not relevant to the point? You are stuck in your preconceived notions. I appreciate that you at least addressed the issue as an afterthought.

Let me make this clear as possible. I don't care whether we have global warming or not or Al Gore or the evil liberals. I do care about getting off oil and on to sustainable, safe technology and energy. I don't care about the global warming argument, it's a red herring. I do care about doing things that allow nature to provide us with an abundant future and that necessarily involves being good stewards of the earth. It's about solutions.
