Pelosi Erases Gingrich's Long-Standing Fairness Rules

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to re-write House rules today to ensure that the Republican minority is unable to have any influence on legislation. Pelosi’s proposals are so draconian, and will so polarize the Capitol, that any thought President-elect Obama has of bipartisan cooperation will be rendered impossible before he even takes office.

At this point I say let the liberals get comfortable and act like hard core liberals. Hopefully the media doesn't completely carry water for the Dems from this day forward and the American people will see what happens when Dems act like Dems, unlike when they run for office.

you mean to sit there and tell me that the dems are going to try to pre-empt the obstructionist tactics that the rethugs have already announced they are going to try to thwart obama's policies?

i'm shocked!

I have not heard that at all, of course it sounds good so it must be true...

That's a fantasy. We need to start getting the message out ourselves from the grassroots.

the gop is actually trying to deep-six the vestiges of gingrich, while still lamenting the failures of thompson and hunter, and playing with tokens like steele and jindal, more pez dispensers in empty suits

useless strategy

but everyone imagines rome was rebuilt in a day, particularly when it's their rome
