This is something else that annoys me. Its not like kids walk to school in our state anymore, yet we cancel classes with little thought. Maybe the fools that be dont remember, but it got below zero in the 70s, too. School wasnt called off. In todays age of 2 working parents, it doesnt help them at all. Plus, what is the kid going to do besides sit home and play video games and eating junk food. Way to go school boards...

I agree except in MPS, most of these kids stand on the corner waiting for the bus in the age of 0 working parents
