Obama and the birth certificate

Can someone please clear this up...
I am serious, I heard this on a talk show, cant remember which one, and I just would like someone to explain why this is false...
When you come on here and throw insults that will not help, I am looking for a honest to goodness answer...

I heard that for the first few years of Hawaii statehood that ANYONE could receive a short-form birth cert saying that you were now a US citizen. If you were actually born after Hawaii became a state and were a natural born citizen you were given a long-form birth certificate. The long form showed where you were actually born and by whom.
Why is it that Obama has only shown the short form, a form that is not valid when trying to show proof of citizenship in most government jobs?

Because everybody is scared sh&less to question that which should be obvious.

Why, don’t you know, the mere mention of questions qualifies you as a racist?

Smiles...It's funny how you (and other far-right fringe elements) get orders from talkshows and get all defensive when someone points it out!!

Anyways - Coming back to your question on birth certificate - It's a non-issue to me now or back during elections.

His mother was an American. He was raised here (except a few years in other countries). By any standards, he is an american.

Let's focus on his policy and debate.

Except American doesn't wantto debate his policy. You want to debate the policy and problem of the "previous administration". Anytime you can't debate, you debase. I would be willing to admit, like I have indicated before, that Bush is the devil if we can actually moveon. But you have no desire to moveon.

It’s funny how the source is ridiculed while the point is ignored. Why is it that “orders” and “unanswered questions” are synonyms in your vocabulary?

Let's focus on his policy and debate.

Bring it on. Which part of this train wreck in progress would you like to discuss?

Because it is the only birth document that Hawaii sends out to people who ask for copies of their birth certificate. Hawaii does not send out copies of the original birth certificate any more. It only sends out the Certification. So, unless Obama has a copy of his original saved from the time of birth, and not lost--and many people lose their original birth certificate--all that he can post is what Hawaii sent him, which was the Certification.

It is not true that Hawaii allowed anyone, even people born outside of Hawaii, to receive a Hawaiian document saying that they were born in Hawaii. There was a certificate of Hawaiian birth, but that also required witnesses, and it could not be applied for until one year after the birth of the child. This could not be the case with Obama since his Certification shows that his birth was registered four days after it took place.

Also remember that two officials of Hawaii looked into the file and said that there was an original birth certificate in the file. Could this have been a foreign birth certificate? No because Hawaii did not accept foreign birth certificates for its files in 1961. If a child was born outside of Hawaii, she or he simply were not registered in Hawaii. Could it have been a certificate of hawaiian birth or a delayed birth certificate? NO, because there was no delay.

What was it? An ordinary Hawaiian birth certificate showing that Obama was born in Honolulu.

Oh, and Hawaii's Certification of Live Birth is accepted for government jobs and accepted by the US State Department as proof of birth in Hawaii and accepted by the US Military as proof of birth in Hawaii.

anon, thanks for addressing the topic

American, you really don't talk about issues anymore...
I understand why, there really is no one on the Left defending anything Obama does..

It seems the president of the United States could get a copy of that birth certificate. I guess because it’s not standard procedure, the officials refused to make a copy. Just goes to show the power of bureaucracies.

And to think, Obama wants to give them new and improved powers!

If following the money means anything anymore, it would be interesting to note that Mr. Obama has spent more than $1,000,000 fighting legal proceedings that would shine a light on his hidden past.

But if you're American and you like Mr. Obama's policies it's O.K. to overlook some of the rules in our evermore meaningless Constitution.

It is delusional to think that Obama somehow pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and became President without being a natural born citizen. FBI background checks, Republican Party opposition research, and Hillary Clinton's ambition all have been brought to bear upon Obama. If any of them could not find a disqualifier then there are none.
Yet, if you want to follow that meme, then Millard Fillmore's Bathtub (MFB is run by Ed Darell) has been debunking the rumors since last year. Just search his site for "birth certificate" and read all of his posts. His site is www.timpanogos.wordpress.com
He has six challenges for anyone who disputes Obama's natural born status.

Why spend > $1 million to conceal your past?

Jim said...

Where is your proof that he has spent anything? The only mention of such numbers I can find are on right-wing blogs and rags. I find no other sources for the "over a million dollars" you all claim. But I'm willing to read them if you have them.

There is a tangled web of legal payments most charged to the Obama campaign. All to cover his past. Look at his FEC filings.

Not the king of guy I'd vote for.

Jim said...

His FEC filings would not have anything about legal expenses related to his birth certificate.

Show it.

TerryN said...

You believe Obama can spend campaign money on legal fees and not have to show it on his FEC filings? Wow, you and Tim Geithner, Tom Dashel, etc... Didn't have a clue? No wonder they cheated on their taxes.

Why don't you show me how honest and great for the state Diamond Jim is? You know that lying sonofabirch who claims he's looking out for the middle class while he and his democrat pals rape this state.

Have a nice day;-)
