Democrats repress free speech...again

In a way, it is great Dems are in power for a little while because they are forced to show what they are really about.
They are not for choice or free speech or anything besides them controlling every possible thing they can.
Just think what would happen if Republicans blocked Dems from sending out a mailing about anything...it would be the top story on every network news and front page at every newspaper in the country for days, maybe weeks.
What does this look like?
Where have we seen this before?
The govt repressing free speech, taking over business, etc...
Lets just change it to Comrade Obama and get it over with...
Keep it up, I didn't think there was any way you could lose power in only two years...it could happen...but for sure by 2012 if conservatives can run the GOP.

Free speech should only be restricted for national security reasons. Right Game??

Here's one - the "Free Speech Zones" Bush set up to ensure he never went face-to-face with a protester.
* * *
When Bush came to the Pittsburgh area on Labor Day 2002, 65-year-old retired steel worker Bill Neel was there to greet him with a sign proclaiming, “The Bush family must surely love the poor, they made so many of us.” The local police, at the Secret Service’s behest, set up a “designated free-speech zone” on a baseball field surrounded by a chain-link fence a third of a mile from the location of Bush’s speech. The police cleared the path of the motorcade of all critical signs, though folks with pro-Bush signs were permitted to line the president’s path. Neel refused to go to the designated area and was arrested for disorderly conduct; the police also confiscated his sign. Neel later commented, “As far as I’m concerned, the whole country is a free speech zone. If the Bush administration has its way, anyone who criticizes them will be out of sight and out of mind.”

in fact...i personally have seen this..back in 2000 I went to see algore speech in Waukesha, WI because I wanted to see Bon Jovi sing before...of course algore was so unprofessional he was over 2 hours late so I left (and when I saw Bush he started exactly on time)...there was one sidewalk that all the Ralph Nader fans had to stand on...omg!!!! you better rip algore now...but you wont cause you are a partisan hack

Hmmm. I read the article you've cited. It says House rules bar the official mailing of something that is accurate. The Republicans want to mail out a chart that is inaccurate. That would be against House rules.

So you again have Boner et al crying about something they're making up.

Those guys are GREAT!

Must have been the Mexican heat. Meant to say "bar the official mailing of something that is inaccurate".
