Palin resigning as Alaska governor on July 26

So what do you think is going on?

Ya, I agree she is running for President...
But lets be honest...she will never win
She is way to pretty and anyone who is Conservative and good looking gets beat up much, much worse by the liberal media.

"she will never win"

I don't know...she's popular and has a down to earth, outside the beltway persona that many find appealing.

Besides, if the simpletons of this country was foolish enough to elect Obama, then anything’s possible!

It's not that she's a Conservative. It's that she is a wacko out on the fringe with no gravitas and a real problem with the truth. Trying to tell people that Todd was a member of the AIP for seven years because he accidentally marked his voter registration that way is a good clue.

Gravitas isn't a constitutional requirement for president. Having an actual birth certificate is supposed to be. Who is the wacko fringe?

Jim said...

You are, obviously. And all the other birthers. The President HAS an actual birth certificate, it has been examined by experts and the State of Hawaii declares it legal, valid, actual, true, and believe it or not, real.

Gravitas is not a constitutional requirement, or course, but a modicum of intellect IS as far as I'm concerned.

I wish we had a candidate that will talk seriously about unsustainable bureaucracies like Social Security, Medicare, and the Department of Education. Right now, Congress is pushing through expensive bills that will drive up the cost of energy and healthcare, and the GOP isn't even putting up a rhetorical fight.

Yes, yes, I know Ron Paul is out there, but L-Ron hates America and can't be trusted with the Republic's security.

HumbleHumanity said...

If mullah Obama has birth certificate why isn't it on the front page of the Obamatimes or better yet, have congress verify it so everyone has to shut up?

Is that modicum of intellect according to the constitution of Jim. You are not intellect enough to comment on the topic of intellect.

You and bill clinton have a serious confusion about IS.

There is a liberal element to the media but to infer that it is generally that way is disingenuous at best or naive at worst. Please quit trying to past that crap we call our media on liberals. We don't claim it. If you would like to venture outside the bubble now and then you might check.

It generally covers media and gives you a good look at what liberals think about it. Why, they even criticize other liberals sometimes!
You don't have to agree with anything they say but at least you will be able to discuss things from a true understanding of what liberals think.

HH, intellect? Go figure.

HH--

Obama is openly proclaiming that his cap and trade plan will cause plan will cause our electricity rates to skyrocket, and nimrods in my party keep focusing on The Nirth Certifikit and other conspiracies. No wonder we can't get traction, even when our enemies give us the ammo.

Ron--

The media can either take a conservative position, or a liberal position. There is no such thing as an unbiased presentation.

I agree completely that Fox News, the WSJ, the Washington Times, National Review, and the Weekly Standard approach issues from the right.

However, liberals will never admit that CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, MSDNC, CNN, Newsweek, Time, the New York Times, and the Washington Post approach issues from the left. This is because leftists like to believe people who disagree with them are necessarily stupid and brainwashed. If we acknowledge that the left has a strong media presence, then leftists might have to look at things like the welfare state empirically and historically. It is so much easier to call names, crusade against greed, etc.

well well done

I disagree, Game. She will run and win. There are so many moms out there who feel like she represents us. The feminazis uphold abortion as their number one agenda and it is driving so many pro-life moms to Palin.

I agree that the libs hate her because she had the audacity not to abort her disabled baby, just like countless lib women did. Believe me, she energized the women out there who feel ingnored by the media.

Jason,
The problem is that the information you linked to is old, well over a year old, well before the election. If your party, which is likely mine as well, is too dumb to do a little research and vote properly, then what it the point. The main reason we can't get traction is because we have let the liberals teach our kids and expected them to be conservative (not to mention edumacated).

Jason,
Thnks for being honest. I don't see many conservatives admitting that news outlets such as FNC have conservative bias. Same goes with liberals and MSNBC.

I also agree with your "left has a strong media presence". Most of the intellectuals, scholars tend to be progressive in their views. So it makes sense. (This is not just limited to this continent - You will see the same in other countries as well)

Coming back to Palin - I still don't understand her bizzare decisoin to step down! It is unfair to say only liberals are questioning her now. I am seeing plenty of conservatives questioning as well.

If she runs, she should not win. I am not sure if she can handle Washington if she couldn't handle Alaska.

"mullah Obama and Birth certificate" - HH

May be, it's time for you to leave your bitterness behind and join the discussion on true issues such as tax, illegal immigration, economy etc?

HumbleHumanity said...

LIke I clearly said, Mullah Obama will do what he wants to do with taxes(or at the minimum our electricity and heat will necessarily skyrocket), illegal immigration (if the head mullah is illegal who cares about the low class), and the economy (what economy?). He is the supreme authority, you tell me, where is the discussion?

American said...

True, HH. No discussion with you!! Smiles...Take care.

footballmom said...

Bizarre decision, American? When an old comedian jokes about raping her daughter and hundreds of pointless ethics investigations are costing her so much money; it is not a bizarre decision to step down. The stupid libs hate her and that's more of a reason why she is loved by "real women" in this country.

Jim said...

Hey mom, you've got it all wrong. We libs don't hate Palin. We LOVE her. She's the gift that keeps on giving. A constant source of amusement as well as a reminder of the incredibly poor judgment of John McCain, who might have been president were it not for his bungling of the economic crisis in Sept/Oct.

I can't think of any Dem or lib who hates Palin. Why would we? It is not hate to discuss her lack of intellectual curiosity, foreign policy knowledge, and inability to express a coherent thought if it doesn't involve Bill Ayers.

But she's really cute.

(remarkably, the word verification below is "hater")

American said...

Hey Mom,
let me get this straight - So, in future, let's say - she becomes our President. All it takes her to step down is - a mean spirited comedian and partisan attack?
WOW - thanks for giving independent minded people another reason NOT to support her to office!

HumbleHumanity said...

muse means think. Libs don't think anyway, so your whole life is amusement.

Ron said...

Jason, there are liberal elements. Liberal talk show hosts a couple of liberals on MSNBC. Other than that yes I refuse to admit that the mainstream is liberal because it isn't. There was little voice from liberals in the mainstream media during the Cheney administration. There was a little questioning but mainly they booked people who supported the war, they pushed the lies without investigation, allowed all kinds of constitutional violations and on and on and on. No, I insist again as a liberal that you quit tarring us with that crap. I also encourage you to go to crooks and liars for a week or so to see what liberals actually think about things. Read the stories and some of the comments. You guys have no idea what we think or believe in and your assumptions on this issue are the most telling of the bunch.
