Senator: Democrats 'baffled' by president's health care stance

Looks like Dems are finally coming around to what I have been saying for about a year...Obama doesn't actually say anything.
He says catching phrases, left-overs from the 60's...bumper sticker slogans.
Even Dems want some actual substance...
Obama has never been asked to actually do anything, even in the Senate he simply voted "present" all the time...
This is not what he does...he "looks good"...he "speaks well"
That is it..he can play President, he just doesn't know how to be President

How could they be baffled? Obama has never been about the details.

Can any of you truly identify his stance in clear policy detail? His "lines in the sand" are exceedingly ambiguous, his C.O.S. makes an apparent contradiction on the weekend talk shows, he waffles on taxation of employer-sponsored benefits, etc.

I can understand Obama's urge to avoid Clinton's mistakes, yet his course correction is too severe.

Wouldn't healthcare remaking be an easier sell if they could remake medicare first? If Obama is the smartest pres. why can't he fix what is broken? Ron, Anon?

"in the Senate he simply voted "present" all the time"

You simply DON'T know what you are talking about, do you?

"jumbled" one...an entertainer always likes to be present..makes him look good when he's not...no imagination in that...

THE FACTS: Obama acknowledges that over nearly eight years in the Illinois Senate, he voted "present" 129 times. That was out of roughly 4,000 votes he cast, so those "presents" amounted to about one of every 31 votes in his legislative career.

Illinois legislators often vote "present" and for a wide variety of reasons. Sometimes blocs of lawmakers do it as a protest in some dispute over rules and procedures. Obama was often joined in his "present" votes by 10 or 20 other senators.

In other cases, lawmakers do it to signal objections to the details of a measure that they support in principle. They also use "present" votes as strategic moves to defeat legislation or, of course, simply to avoid taking a firm position.

Go back to the birth certificate canard...it's much more intriguing, if equally baseless.

Love the funny "facts"..baseless is the laughable look at the comments opposing this RIGHT ON blog....maybe you could just post "present" and try to be like these incompetents you defend...

Thank you Anon for posting this for me so I wouldn't have to do it myself for the 10th time. Furthermore, Game said "The Senate". To me that means the US Senate. The US Senate does not allow "present" votes.

Doesn't make any difference to Game though because Game is well on his way to being a contestant on "The Biggest Loser" for tossing out infantile insults when he has nothing better to offer.

Scorpion, your logic is like a bouquet of dead flowers that smells bad.

I understand you can not in any way shape or form defend Obama on health care so you focus on something else...

"jumbled"one...intelligent people have been able to laugh at your posts here for so long you should thank any other comedian without a
clue you might get to help in any so called supportive fashion..smell...talk about smell we just look for your name on a post...still...get five or six more
anonymous laughable losers to provide comedy relief..it's so enjoyable compared to the incompetence and zero logic going on in Washington for the past six months...the biggest loser will be all Americans stuck with what's going on...come back now....it's time for another pathetic post to laugh at...
