Here is what liberals want to do to your health care

I am so proud of this country for FINALLY standing up to liberal socialism. Keep it up, we can still bring this country back to being America. It starts in 2010

Nice article but it has nothing to do with US health care. Thanks.

Wrong Jimbo!

The UK NHS is the model for the Democrats Kevorkiancare plan.

Oh, are you honest enough to note that Ted Kennedy did everything that would not be allowed under this abortion of a plan?

Still hung up on the phony death panels? No wonder you get your panties in a bunch over the false notion that the US is copying some other country's flawed health insurance system. Whatever comes out of the current situation will be a uniquely American invention.

But don't let that get in the way of your perpetual whining.

So, Obama has admitted that he is willing to abandon the public option, but you are more than happy to pretend that he is shooting for single payer/single provider?

I don't know if you are being dishonest, or if you are just woefully uninformed.

The time for pretending that Obama is some sort of radical commie has passed. It's been obvious for months now that he is a corporate lackey, and is going to do everything he can to support the corporations that funded his campaign so generously.

As it stands right now, the health care reforms really amount to a mandate (ensuring millions of new customers for the insurance companies) with no public option or other mechanism to keep costs under control (maximizing insurance company profits).

"The UK NHS is the model for the Democrats Kevorkiancare plan."

No basis in fact. Comes from Beck's Think Free TV.

"Oh, are you honest enough to note that Ted Kennedy did everything that would not be allowed under this abortion of a plan?"

Don't know what you are talking about. (Do you?) If you have money, you can do anything you want regardless of what the healthcare system is. Warren Buffet is eligible for Medicare. Do you think he doesn't buy health care services over and above what Medicare provides?

Really realism?
You believe that?
public option gone?
wow
And this is how liberalism works..liberals SAY what they really do THINK will happen with their next failed plan, and by the time it turns into what conservatives say it was going to they are able to use time to twist the facts.
I mean, look at how liberals mandated poor people and minorities get all these terrible loans that brought down our economy..and you yell and scream Bush without any thought behind it and hope people cant figure it out.

Jim said...

"I mean, look at how liberals mandated poor people and minorities get all these terrible loans that brought down our economy"

There's that stinking lie again. It's simply NOT true, and no matter how many times you say it, it will NEVER be true.

I'll try this one more time. The government only mandated that all people have the same opportunity to get a loan as any body else. I work for a financial institution. We did NOT lower our credit underwriting criteria to meet any government rules.

Did some lenders abuse the lending system? You bet. Were they forced to by the government? Of course not.

The reason they made these loans is because THEY COULD and then they could sell them in under-regulated markets, laying off the risk to investors. The snowballing of this is what brought down our economy. It had nothing to do with ANY imagined government mandate to make risky loans. Simply did not happen.

OK, you are now free to lie again if you like.

no,Jim and Realism, how many times do you have to have shoved in your face Obama's own speaches to Liberal audiences where he calls for single payer and the destruction of private insurance companies?

I have an idea. Lets give you a nasty cancer and make you try to get treatment in Oregon. We'll see if you don't think there are death panels.

Anonymous said...

There already are death panels, you dingbat. They were set up by the health insurance industry to deny cancer patients experimental treatments that exceed the cost set by the greed meisters in their corporate boardrooms.

What are you - new?

Realism said...

Oh, you mean death panels like these:

"The family had asked Cigna to pay for a liver transplant but the insurer refused, calling the procedure experimental."

" Gordon Hazel has lived two years longer than doctors thought he would. That goes for his insurance company, too.

Nearly a year into paying for his treatment for pancreatic cancer, the insurance company decided they weren't paying anymore.
"

And I will be eagerly anticipating the quote you are going to provide where Obama calls for the "destruction of private insurance companies".

I know you are not a liar, so I look forward to seeing that quote. As soon as possible, please.

Here you go, video and sound. Now, GFY.

Wow. I didn't know Obama was president in 2003 or 2007. I also was unaware that the Democratic Congress was debating healthcare legislation then, in its current form no less.

PCDummy, you've struck gold......

Anonymous said...

Don't confuse him with facts...his mind's made up.

PCD = Glenn Beck sockpuppet

Realism said...

1. Even if we adopted single payer, it wouldn't cause the "destruction of private insurance companies". Countries with single payer still have private insurance markets, and some employers offer additional coverage as a benefit.

2. Obama is not proposing a single payer plan. In fact, regarding the "public option", he has most recently said that it is not a requirement for any health care bill that he would sign.

But it is telling that you are more concerned about the insurance industry and their profits than you are about your fellow citizens. I somehow doubt that the feeling is mutual.

This reminds me of something I read today. I basically posed the question: How stupid would you have to be to believe that Ted Kennedy engaged in an epic battle with cancer to ensure that his fellow Americans with the same illness would be forced to be euthanized?

Really, if you think that people like Rush and Glenn Beck honestly believe the crap that they shovel out to you rubes, then you are hopelessly naive, and you really don't have any place trying to "debate" public policy.

Realism said...

Can you please explain how the government providing insurance to all Americans makes us serfs. Be specific.

Because to us sane people, what makes one a serf is being tied to a crappy job because you can't afford to lose the health insurance because you have a sick child and any new insurance company will decline you due to pre-existing conditions.

What makes one a serf is being unable to start one's own business because there's no way that you'd be able to afford insurance without a group rate.

What makes one a serf is having to spend a quarter of your income to pay for your health insurance and prescriptions to keep you alive.

Don't be surprised if you get your head blown off in the civil war Obama is brewing.

Obama's not the one bringing assault rifles to demonstrations talking about "Watering the tree of Liberty" as if Republicans have any idea what Liberty means.

Obama's not the one encouraging "proud right wing terrorist[s]"

You republicans are spreading lies in order to mislead the public because you know if liberals were to implement effective health care reform, it would destroy your party for a generation, just like the new deal did.

Realism said...

No, I want people covered and treated, not denied by a bureaucrat who has care better then the average citizen.

On this, we agree. See my comment at 2:14pm (which you conveniently ignored)

PCD said...

Unrealism, government controling everything does make us serfs. Oh, and Obama calling out the UNION GOONS isn't provocation? My aren't you the Democrat shill.

You aren't an honest debater. I nailed you when you smugly thought there wasn't record of Obama's past speeches calling for the elimination of private insurance and for single payer. You are the dishonest liar. go back to YOUR DEMOCRAT TALKING POINTS.

Realism said...

Unrealism, government controling everything does make us serfs.

That is some brilliant debatin' you got goin' on.

But just to play along, please tell me what having private companies "controlling everything" makes us?

Because if I don't like what Obama does, I can vote against him. But if I don't like what Blue Cross does, I'm SOL.

Realism said...

go back to YOUR DEMOCRAT TALKING POINTS.

I provide reasoning and evidence for everything I say. For example, when I demonstrated that the real "Death Panels" exist right now in the current system, or when I explained that having the government provide health insurance doesn't make you a serf, being trapped because you are dependent on private health insurance is what makes you a serf. And then I showed that government provided health insurance actually INCREASES the amount of Liberty that we have as citizens because we elect our government representatives, whereas insurance company representatives aren't accountable to us as citizens.

I gave you a chance to diverge from your talking points by describing how government provided health insurance makes one a "serf", but you didn't. You just repeated YOUR talking points.

Anonymous said...

Why do we need beauracrats deciding who lives or dies when we already have health insurance CEOs making those decisions?

You're already a serf. You're just having a bit of trouble recognizing that.

PCD said...

Democrap shills, that's one problem. You pissants demand everyone else be specific, while you lie, create strawmen, cite White House talking points, and go to emotional screeds as facts.

Now, try again, bozos the clowns.

Oh, and tell us how Obama's czars who write about killing the useless off by denying them care is compassionate, and just why does a healthcare bill mandate the IRS turning over your tax records to the medical bureaucracy? You are the one destroying our freedoms, liars.

Jim said...

"Oh, and tell us how Obama's czars who write about killing the useless off by denying them care is compassionate".

Who? Which one? What did they say? This is a wild lie unless you can provide the citation to prove it.

"why does a healthcare bill mandate the IRS turning over your tax records to the medical bureaucracy"

Really? Says who? What page of the bill is this on? Who did you hear it from? This is a wild lie unless you can provide the citation to prove it.

Realism said...

Hilarious. Project much?

PCD said...

No, just call them as I see them, you trolls. Trolls as in make challenges to force others to do research and provide citations, then go off on another tangent. That is Unrealism, Jim, and the anony-trolls. None of you know anything but what is on your WH-Union talking points. You want to research Ezekiel Emmanuel's writings and come back? One of Obama's unconfirmed, uninvestigated, and never vetted czars.

You bums love a dictator and you have one in Obama.

Jim said...

Actually PCDummy, we do a lot of the research for you.

For instance, your bulls**t inferences about Ezekiel Emanuel's writings by the head bulls**t artist of the anti-American health care movement, Betsy McCaughey, is provable bulls**t.

McCaughey has perversely twisted Emanuel's writings AGAINST euthanasia to say that he is for it. That's a lie. She claims "the healthcare reform bill would make it mandatory — absolutely require -- that every five years people in Medicare have a required counseling session that will tell them how to end their life sooner."

Politifact.com describes this claim as a "ridiculous falsehood". FactCheck.org said, ""We agree that Emanuel’s meaning is being twisted."

Furthermore, you further this bulls**t meme of "unvetted" czars. Every administration fills many jobs that are below the cabinet level and below any level required by law to be confirmed by the Senate. Emanuel is Special Adviser for Health Policy to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, a position Obama is allowed to fill without your permission.

Interesting the The Dictator has been unable to force Health Care on you or disband the Congress and Supreme Court in the over 200 days he's been in office.

Realism said...

Yes, PCD, we certainly have extra brainpower and IQ points that we'd be happy to contribute to you. We libs like to look out for our fellow man.

Regarding Ezekiel Emmanuel:

He said "The proper policy, in my view, should be to affirm the status of physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia as illegal [His emphasis]. In so doing we would affirm that as a society we condemn ending a patient's life and do not consider that to have one's life ended by a doctor is a right."

http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/199703/euthanasia

I know it's hard for you to accept that you've been lied to, but republicans are not reliable sources.

PCD said...

All leftie sites that have been exposed for their bias and Soros backing. Try again propagandists.

Realism said...

The Atlantic article WAS WRITTEN BY HIM!!!!!

How can you say that an article where he describes what he advocates is a more biased source than an article written by a hardcore health care reform opponent?

You're telling me that Betsy McCaughey knows Ezekiel Emmanuel's policy positions better than Ezekiel Emmanuel?

Oh, wait, I forgot, you screaming "Liberal Bias" is the same as a 5-year old covering their ears and yelling "LA-LA-LA, I can't hear you!"

PCD said...

Ezekiel is a liar, like you, like Rahm, like Herr Diktator Obama.

Oh, bozo, just because he pens an article, doesn't make it Gospel.

Realism said...

WOW

that's some persuasive argument.

you should've saved yourself the trouble of pressing submit.

I remember being on the debate team in high school.

Every time I was out-debated and the opponent was on the right side of the issue, i'd just be all "LIBERAL BIAS" and "YOUR SOURCE IS A LIAR" then BAM! instant win!!!!!one!1!11exclamationpoint!

you asked me to research his writings, remember:
You want to research Ezekiel Emmanuel's writings and come back?

it wasn't that hard. even an idiot could do it.

But you still weren't able.

face it, you republicans are liars that are spreading propaganda in order to keep the Democrats from implementing a program that will be a huge help to the American people just because you want more political power. You know that Ezekiel Emmanuel does not support euthanasia, but you don't care because, like Strauss, you believe that lying to the "little people" is ok as long as you think the ends are important.

PCD said...

Realism, How many lies do you have to repeat before you recognize yourself as a liar? There are not 47 Million uninsured US citizens. This is not about healthcare or health insurance, but the quest for naked and total power by a power mad dictator and his flunkys.

Realism said...

Nice try at changing the subject, loser.

A dictator unable to ram through a healthcare bill. That's one hell of a dictator!

Obama would be wise to ram thru health insurance reform the same way Bush rushed us off to war. Why bother listening to critics when you've made up your mind? There will always be nimrods like PCD who throw their pooh at the wall and prove there are holes in Darwin's natural selection theories but they are only America-hating speed bumps on the road to victory.

Realism said...

if he can't even get healthcare insurance for all Americans pushed thru, how the heck is he going to be able to ship PCD and his ideological brethren off to the death camps?

Piss poor dictator if you ask me. He needs to get some pointers from herr Cheney if you ask me.
