Rise in jobless claims signals bump in recovery

Obama and unrestricted liberalism is just a complete failure...even worse than a failure since liberals have spent a billion dollars creating no jobs

Riddle me this, Sherlock...how many jobs did your boy W create in 8 yrs? Based on your logic you'd have to admit W was a complete failure with regard to job creation. Not to mention W spent trillions (100s of billions) on tax cuts that were supposed to create jobs.

Liberals, conservatives...what's the difference?

"TAX CUTS IS NOT SPENDING"

You could say that. And then also say that the $787 billion stimulus bill, $300 billion of which was TAX CUTS, was not trillions of dollars of spending.

Right? So nearly 40% of the bill was just what you're always whining about, right?

First, if you don't count all the bribes and pork in the stimulus bill you are not being honest, so it has to be at least billion...

And I do not know how much of it was tax cuts, depends who got them and what they were for..a vast majority of actual spending was given to govt..so if the tax cuts did not go directly to real human beings you would not be correct

just thought of another thing..if there were tax cuts for people who do not pay taxes that does not help either...

The Game said...

and for the moron from before..tax cuts do not have to be paid back..so even if they do not work not as big a deal as if you spend a billion dollars and it doesnt work..get it? doubt it

Funny how one year after "The One" took office the only way to defend his policies is still, complain about Bush...

Sorry, I just noticed I was saying billion and not TRILLION..I guess I couldn't believe we would waste that much money to create NO jobs.

Although the current economic problems are different from those of the early '80s, it would be difficult to argue that Reagan did not inherit a much better economy from Carter than Obama did from Bush. Obama inherited a recession, rising unemployment, a collapsed stock and real estate market, and massive bank failures, none of which Reagan faced when he took office. Yet the right wing, which was blaming Carter for economic problems even into Bush I's term, insists on blaming Obama for all of the current economic problems.

The hypocrisy is shamelss, though not unexpected.

HUH!

Double digit inflation and interest rates. Unemployment never over 8% Reagan inherited a way worse economy that Obama did. What Obama did was to take a bad situation and really screw it up in his first year. There's three more years to go.
