So, what an expected knee-jerk reaction! You didn't read the article, did you? Much of the language comes from the Bush administration. There is not one single part of the NPR which weakens the US position anywhere in the world. As a matter of fact, one could say it gives the US more flexibility to use powerful and massive conventional weaponry against it's enemies and threats.

Its all about perception Jim...my God what is wrong with you..

Its all about what other think we might do.

Obama can go around the white house and tell whomever he wants in private that he doesn't want to use nukes..but in public you take nothing off the table...

I hear the Poles are discussing an attack on the US now that they know we won't nuke them.

Bush and Cheney threatened Iraq with nuclear annihilation if they used chemical weapons against our armed forces. Apparently the Saddam listened. Not only did they not use chemical weapons they hid their WMD to boot.

I'm sure these "others" are no longer afraid of our meek conventional military capabilities because of this.

And what a great job they did!

Do you think this new anon is able to walk and chew gum at the same time?
Probably not...

and Jim, its an overall perception of weakness..Clinton did it for 8 years giving terrorists the courage to plan 911..
Actually, some of these people will not be deterred by anything, which is why we should keep killing them

The only ones who perceive any of this as weakness is the Palin-Bachmann crowd like yourselves.

This treaty and the NPR give away nothing and are extensions of the Reagan policies and "approved" by former GHW Bush and Reagan officials, not to mention the Chairman of the JCOS.

Obama and the 911 planners couldn't have cared less if it were Clinton, Bush I or Dole in office. The idea that Clinton projected some kind of weakness that led to 911 is pure lunacy.

The Dow's up over 11,000. Does that mean Wall Street loves Obama?
