Obama does nothing again...nothing positive that is

Despite plan, not a single fire boom on hand on Gulf Coast at time of oil spill

Just think about the outrage, screaming and yelling that the liberal media would be engaging in if a Republican was President. Since it is their Lord and Savior they have no idea what to do. They are kind of reporting on how nothing at all is being done, but never mention Obama. IF they say anything they comment that the government is doing nothing.
If it was Bush, OH BOY!!! The machine would be running 24/7.

Once again, Obama shows that he and his crew are not ready for prime time. They do nothing when it matters, and ruin our country when they actually put plans in motion. What a winning combo!

Well, its day 12...nothing yet

Totally false. In fact, it's a lie. Got that?

The explosion happened 4/20 at 10PM, then next day the Deputy Secty of the Interior and the Coast Guard were dispatched to the site. In a 4/21 press release, BP confirmed that the US Coast Guard was leading the emergency response.

It goes on from there. Rush and Sean are pulling lies out of their asses and you are eating them up. Disgusting in more ways than one.

Not that BP has any responsibility here...they're just a poor little oil company who made a boo-boo. But don't let that stop you from trying to score cheap political points by joining Al Qaeda in defaming your own country.

Yo mamma must be REAL proud of her boy!

I see the previous two commenters didn't read, or they didn't understand, the link in the title of this post.

Yea the Coast Guard was there on day one, to watch the rig burn.

"In the days after the rig sank, U.S Coast Guard Rear Admiral Mary Landry said the government had all the assets it needed. She did not discuss why officials waited more than a week to conduct a test burn."

Your incompetent government at work once again...

I also do not see any reference to Rush or Sean in the linked article. Care to explain Jim?

I'd love to hear you spin why it's the govt's fault that an oil company doesn't have proper safeguards in place to clean up a spill. In your parallel universe, one minute it's evil govt intrusion and the next minute it's all the govt's fault for not cleaning up somebody else's mess.

Consistency isn't your strong suit, but you sure can jump the shark!

Very simple for most of us Anonymous blame game. Apropos name BTW.

The Gulf of Mexico is not sovereign US property and there are more than one company's rigs operating there.

Now Who do YOU think should write the rules???

That's why there was a summit and that's why they decided that the richest government in the region would provide proactive remedial containment in the event of a disaster. And that government didn't follow up, which is how we got where we are today. Unless you know why the rig blew up and killed 11 people who did nothing but show up for work that day.

Sounds like Terry supports govt bailouts.

"That's why there was a summit and that's why they decided..."

Who's "they"?

They = The "In-Situ Burn" plan produced by federal agencies in 1994 calls for responding to a major oil spill in the Gulf with the immediate use of fire booms.

How you equate environmental precautions with bailouts defies reason or sanity.

It's too bad Congress, starting with Gingrich and his Contract on America, failed to fund the plan for the last 16 years.

You want limited govt up until private business screws up...then you want govt to clean up the mess. Just like what happened with the banks.

Can you follow that bouncing ball?
