Never Forget

Today is the 4th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack. It was the day that Americans finally realized that the radical Muslim world was trying to destroy our way of life.

I still remember exactly what I was doing that day. I was living in Hawaii and my brother called me around 4 a.m. Hawaii time. I didn't get up, but heard a message on the answering machine about a plane hitting a building. I got up just in time to see the second plane hit the twin tower. I watched the TV for 3 or 4 hours before I had to go to school.

Every day at the school the entire student body lined up on the playground. We had a moment of silence and a prayer. Later that week they had a program where they sang Patriotic songs, religious songs and prayers.

No one complained that there were religious songs being song...no one complained that the name of God might offend someone.

Things are so much different again:

1. Our borders and wide open, and there are reports that Muslims has smuggled dirty bombs over the border.

2. Some people say it is not worth it to fight Muslim terrorists in the Middle East. They think that letting them regroup and attack us again is better.

3. Liberals have gone back to their "America sucks" screaming, most recently about how it is GWB's fault that the mayor of New Orleans created a whole culture of learned helplessness and there were over 100,00o people not able to take care of themselves.

I hope it doesn't take another attack to wake us up again....Unfortunately it seems like that is the case.

Make no mistake about it, there is a war between the freedom of the west and radical Muslims who want the entire world to fall into line. Maybe we don't want to fight it, but they will continue to try and destroy our way of life.
